I am breast cancer survivor and THINGS are not important after you go through this. You REEVALUATE everything in your life relationships, stuff, homes, cars, jobs and you realize what is really important.

You're right. Same here. Just had surgery a few months ago. This year has been transformative in so many ways. Boundaries established, relationships ended (my choice) and reevaluating everything else now - feelings, physical space, etc.

Same here, it is so sad that's what it takes to realize what's really important in life. In a way it's a blessing in disguise. The best gift is Jesus born on Christmas Day to seek and save the lost like me, and died for my sins, and raised to life to give me eternal life with Him in heaven. The trials of life brought me close to Him that's why I call it a blessing in disguise. He is real and relevant!!! I hope and pray that all who are reading this comment will come to know Jesus and experience His love and have HOPE and share that hope with others around. God bless you!

On other people's preferences, I've had two profound experiences with this in the last 20 years. And both were with one on my sisters. First was in 2004 when I decided to move from Iowa to Florida. She was aghast that I could even think of moving out of Iowa and away from the family. I did it anyway, with peace in my heart that I was doing what was right for me. Then about 6 years later, having moved to Missouri from Florida, we transitioned to living full-time in an RV. To her I was an idiot for doing that. I needed a house. I didn't have enough space in an RV, there was no permanence.... All her thoughts. And here we are, 14 years later, still living full-time in an RV. My preferences were not her preferences, but I am living my life with peace, happiness and love. And that's what is important to me

I think it's important to not point out others situations and things; we must keep our side of the street clean and not criticize others. Something I am working on.

Best gift .. learning to love myself to health.. Traumas, since age 17 and 43 years later, humbled with the gift of full functionality and restoration of health and wellness as a.. 2 time cancer survivor Disability diagnosis of MS then actulizing the True diagnosis is of Chronic Lyme Disease. Quite the life long challenge to tap into what works naturally and holistically. At age 60, I am blessed to share and encourage others of alternative methods that allow the body to perform in the manner in which it is designed, and that is to heal and repair itself!!! Love and health are the best gifts for me! Thanks for allowing me to share my passion for life! Blessing..

In March of 2005, a team of drs diagnosed me with a terminal disease with less than 1 yr to live. The greatest gift is '1 more day' every day I am gifted with 1 more day. (they are baffled as to why I am still here)

Regarding what Joshua said about we are all given a clean slate at some point in time......I like to look at it this way. I am given a clean slate every morning when I wake up. Maybe yesterday I was a jerk, or selfish, or messy or lazy, etc. But today is a new day and a new opportunity for me to continue my journey in being who I truly want to be.

I think books *can be* things from the future. You buy it thinking it'll be useful and finally get around to reading it and it changes your life Marie Kondo's book was a life change although although I read the ebook from the library so it doesn't really fit our discussion. Fantasy things and future self things are so hard to tell apart sometimes, especially since I'm a slacker that life changing things can be ignored until it's too late.

Happened upon you gentlemen early this morning after seeing my husband Superman FIREFIGHTER & later CHIEF of a Connecticut Fire Dept. 🔥. He also assists new 911 training folks to learn3 all the necessary skills. I chose Nuclear Safety at 31 sites for 26 years. I recently was diagnosed with Alzeimers; 6 months on a low dose reliable med is working as in my ability to co-ordinate my thoughts to write this.......ONWARD & UPWARD. I REFUSE DO GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT. Happening upon your program is a blessing. HANGE OUT WITH THE WINNERS 🏆!!!

@la_Baby_Khalil Hi! I'm Professor Shawn. I swear I'm a real person! I run the audio board during podcast recording, and then I do a ton of other stuff during post production. I've also been teaching Josh's writing course, How to Write Better, with him for almost a decade, hence the moniker "Professor Shawn."
