Slovenia is my target for this year's summer ride. Thanks for confirming it as a good destination :)

This is Slovenia for you - green, clean & tidy. A lot of people don’t know anything about Slovenia, but they automatically assume it must be some dull & poor place with nothing to see (probably lingering effects of cold war era propaganda). In reality, it’s one of the nicest countries in Europe. Most foreign tourists visit the western part, but the whole country is lovely. The road 432 between Rogatec and Majšperk took you through Haloze hills, which is a fairly remote area and it’s considered economically disadvantaged. But even that part of the country is nice & tidy, with well-kept houses & villages.

Looks fantastic and is a definite possibility to do this year. I've been to Croatia three times now and done mini road trips by car which have been absolutely stunning. I'm with you re the cleanliness of these places too, Croatia is a little run down in places but never looks dirty or scruffy in a way that Britain does, and when you consider their recent history that's quite amazing. I'm taking notes here, keep up the good work and thank you. 👍

In the Netherlands you look at the type of lines on the road and you know the speed limit if no signs are available. Beautiful country. You are an influencer, you make people ride bikes and bikers ride together. I prefer small lonely roads but that’s often not possible in this heavy populated country NL. It really looks as if we don't have white vans here in Slovenia. We have them and a lot of them. Here you don't have to be afraid of traffic police. Most, if not all, are motorcyclists themselves and are familiar with the temptations and problems regarding speeding. In most cases they are more likely to warn you or give advice and try to help than to issue a speeding penalty. Unless you're not flying through the settlement at supersonic speed. More annoying are municipal wardens with their little cameras... We are successful against them with sharing their locations with the help of mobile app.

@@ioandragulescu6063,, the hottest I've ridden in was 42 degC returning from Phillip Island classic bike races. Too hot to lift the visor. I was 800klm from home so I had to keep going. Very uncomfortable. I always carry a bottle of drinking water in summer and fill it every fuel stop.
