The millionaire actors are the ones who are killing jobs like mine - basic low-level production assistant jobs who actually are paid well below the poverty line in CA. I work remotely for Warner Bros and even in the state I live in, with its lower cost of living, I need to stretch the wage I make. And now because of idiot actors and untalented writers complaining that their working conditions are "too hard" or that they "don't make enough money", projects are being cancelled and us lowly production staffers are the first thing to get axed. We're getting bitter. I LOVE film and animation, which is why I got into this industry, but man it's full of BS right now.

The virtue signaling of celebrities back during the 2016 Presidential season was my last straw. I was already slowing growing disinterested in films and TV due to the decline in quality as everything became more derivative, but when narcissistic millionaires lecture me about politics and social issues like they are the arbiters of all that is good, true and proper I tuned them out for good. And lo and behold, since then they only got worse, movies got worse, TV got worse. As long as they continue their trend of shallow virtue signaling, I will continue to walk away with my middle finger raised high.

It's sad what they've done in entertainment. Not just with that subject, but that's what we're talking about. In a not too different alternative universe, a show or movie could be based on a gay man and be generally accepted. "Hollywood" has spent so much time shoving messages down people's throats, a resentment has been built. Eyes roll and you get the "oh, they *_made_* him gay". Without all the throat shoving, I feel like a character could just _be_ gay and be accepted by (at least more of) culture/society. Obviously there are people that will never accept, but I'm not talking about them.

It's amazing how they make these movies where the target audience is less than 10% of the population, then act surprised that no one goes to see it. I'm an IT Project Manager and an expert in CRM (Customer Resource Management) which is just a fancy way of saying building computer systems that calculate demographics for sales and marketing campaigns. Good examples are Salesforce, Meta and Google, which use these analytics and algorithms to target advertising to people. It's as if these modern studios simply ignore all that completely and just make a product that represents whatever little bandwagon they've attached themselves to, thinking in their narcissistic infantile brains that maybe people are stupid and will watch their movie and be instantly brainwashed into believing their nonsense. It's literally the opposite of how most companies function.

Celebrities and politicians are so out of touch with the common man, it's not even funny. Most of them aren't role models people should emulate. But here we are with annoying idiots doing stupid things to get eyes on them.

In life, you need 2 out of 3 things to succeed with people. In jobs, in public, in general. 1) Be on time and be consistent in your work and life. 2) Be incredible at your work and in your purpose, which is always high-quality. 3) Be very well liked and loved by the public and especially the people in your life. You don't need all three, but you need 2 out of three to succeed. If you manage somehow you get all three, you may indeed manage to be "great." But if you can't even manage 1, let alone 2, no one will give a shit about you. Hollywood has failed on *ALL THREE* for the last decade or more. They could produce raw gold and distribute it to the masses, and no one would really care at this point. Hollywood needs to be fired.

There should be no such thing as "movie stars." Movies should be cast with unknown actors. Most of you won't understand the concept, but the world of cinema would end up making masterpieces.

When I see actors like Meryl Streep talking about #metoo, I think that's great. Then I remember when she gave, as did many others including many men and standing ovation to Roman Polanski, who is a child rapst, when he won best director for The Pianist. I remember it's ok because he's a great director so he gets a pass as Hollywood dicktates. She made a choice alright.

Thing is, that once you got to an extreme level of division, then people can see you for what you are. If hollywood wants any kind of clout or credibility back, they will stfu for the next 20 years, and only make movies audiences will love. But we all know that aint gonna happen. So stuff like this is also out of touch, because most people cant see it yet, but entertainment, in its old form. IS gone. And its because the ability is gone. They got rid of all the artists with the wrong POV, and what is left is shallow, 100% talentless hacks. Its really no different then the depression back in early 1900s. When the depression happened, the world stopped caring about what was fake, and started idolizing real figures. Like John dillenger. Who challenged the system, and the banks that were robbing people blind. This is why guys like Trump nerdrotic or doomcock get so much clout, because they are fucking with the system the same way john dillenger did. And the truth is, the world wants a hero, that will stand against the system of corrupt class rule, rather then, idolize them as real life heroes, because celebs get confused and think they are the characters from their movies. When their characters would probably hate who they are in real life. Just like Jack slater Hated Arnold in Last action hero. Thats because the dichotomy of delusional povs in hollywood is the standard. BEcause in real life, the things heroes do, they hurt, and they are hard.
