“Rouge One” is the best Star Wars movie made since the original theatrical release version of the first movie. I liked the original trilogy (original theatrical release versions). I hated the prequels. I haven’t cared for most of the recent movies. But I loved “Rouge One”.

The downfall started way before phase Captain Marvel. Avengers was dumb like "Oh, I don't know you guy with a hammer. Let's fight til death". Age of Ultron was a desaster. The villain in Doctor strange was poorly written. This whole "civil war" had no point and was for nothing. Homecoming was nothing but a joke as well as Thor 3. And infinity war and endgame were just bad and boring. Too much CGI

I Do expect decent dialogue in my comic books. After all, a comic's dialogue is much more important than that of a film''s; which has music to bolster it mood and intent. That's why so many comic book movie adaptations have failed lately, because the screenwriters keep insisting that their new, updated dialogue ( and plot ) is an improvement in the original. As for why they persist in this belief is beyond me 🙄😬

I liked it. It was a good prequel. I still had hopes for the franchise after watching it, especially after the fiasco titled "The Force Awakens" a year prior, and thought to myself "nice, they're finally starting figuring out how to make a good Star Wars movie. It's crazy to think Rogue One came out 8 years ago. With Disney constantly puking out spinoffs and sequels, you kinda loose track of time and it feels like it came out last year.
