Here's how the acronym works. Secure Contain Protect is their slogan. Not their name. It's a common misconception, so I don't blame you or the people who told you otherwise. Special Containment Procedures refers to the SCPs themselves, and the company name. There's a lot of misinformation around the acronym, so it's common to get it wrong.

Definitely Haversine's SCP-087 should get big recognition because a lot of gamers and YTbers mistaken for other SCP-087 games to be the original. But his version maybe just the first version he created but its the best.

the first SCP-087 was a really nice game since the only information you get is that "It's a endless stairwell now go down it". Leaving a lot to the player's imagination which can make it scarier since you're not afraid of the dark itself you imagine what is in the dark and that's what scares you (until you reach the end where you get jumpscared by the masked man but shhhh) and games that lets you imagine what's happening just seems more interesting and scary to me also I am so hyped for the tf2 video

1:49 light brightness is not measured in watts. I think I know what you meant - when you say 'an 75W lightbulb', we probably can estimate the brightness - but those are fundamentally two different things.

087 is one of the quintessential series I scps for me. it rivals 093 in its legacy and just how memorable it is! the simple concept (not meant as an insult! some of the best scps are just a simple yet memorable concept expounded upon), the classic exploration logs, being completely unexplainable with almost no overarching narrative. its just SOMETHING that were trying desperately to understand and investigate but we cant. the most we can do is contain it. its wonderful! its got that old school nostalgic flavor for me. i dont dislike nu scp, far from it in fact! but i do miss the "essence" of series I. it reminds me of when i was just a wee lad with unsupervised internet access stumbling upon the foundation site by pure accident

As someone who has modified 087-B a million times over just like Containment Breach, 087-B is not a stable game. If you modify your walking speed and manage to spawn two entities at once, the game crashes. As for the ending, you can also get crushed by the walls.
