Good video buddy, i have got into the slug thing over the last couple of years and it always amazes how they can take so much wind and i over estimate the wind thats needed like you seem to of done with that pigeon. Keep the videos coming mate.

Thanks Paul, yes sometimes I think it might not need too much wind so I tend to underestimate, although on that particular one not sure if it was because I had the barn sheltering me from the full impact of the wind, something I may need to consider , glad the scope cam picked up the slug’s flight path..lol cheers G.👍

@@GianniG55 yes it was very troubling a few choise words were used lol, fill it up then 10 shots pellet on pellet then it would just go shot gun,

@@visiter127 We never had any shotgun issues but some weird points of impact shots due to air pressure differences from cold to hot weather and some issues with barrel liners , but the worst was how the gun was put together from the factory, let’s just say some better quality control should be given.

If my maverick is shooting accurate at 25 yards, will it still shoot accurate at 50 yards without any adjustments? Jw. Haven’t been out to really try it out.

Hi Jon, at 25 /30 yards if your groups are very tight that’s usually a good sign that the barrel likes that particular ammo , and also at that range it will not or should not be effected by wind conditions, then go out to 50 yards and be as disciplined as you can with your shooting so that you’re not inflicting any variables into the groups which I know is sometimes hard because these air rifles can be finicky with different hold pressures , if they are still shooting tightly and some where like half inch or under at 50y then I would say your good to go , as for a 100 yards if they open up to around 1.MOA - 1.5MOA you should be fine at longer distances because what will be the deciding factor when you going out to 160 or 200 yards etc…is gonna to be the wind or any movement caused by the shooter plus you will or might have to make sure your ballistics are correct with your shooting app this is important when going to longer distances or like I do I place a target in front of me at my zero distance , for me it’s 50 yards, and then I walk backwards away from the target in 10 yard increments verified with my rangefinder so I know I’m spot on , I just pull my shooting mat to each 10 yards get down prone and shoot into the centre of the target clicking the turret until I’m hitting in the centre and that’s where I would put my turret sticker for all my confirmed distances say around 200 yards, that way all I need to do is range my target hunting or steel or what ever ,turn my turret to the Required distance and as long as I can guess the wind right take the shot , sorry for the long answer but hope that helps cheers G.

Hi , at the moment, it is the superior heavy liner , but I also have a STX superior heavy slug liner which has a 1: 16 twist which I will also be trying at some point .
