Mortal kombat has plenty games and lore over over 30 years. Now the director added his own character and when asked by Ed Boon, he said he wouldnt never even add Cole Young into the game

Look im a Karl Urban fan like the rest of us, but i still can't get over how they picked him to be Johnny Cage. Sorry but that's just a miscast to me just as Pedro Pascal playing Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four and Yaya Abdul Mateen playing Wonderman are also both miscasts despite good actors. Karl just screams Kano to me even though that character was already in the first movie Cage should have either been Scott Adkins, The Miz, or JCVD himself (or his son)

That's cool man, I appreciate the current details here. I'm a little disappointed that the headline said first look when I don't think any footage of the actual filming was displayed here. But enough nit-picking sorry. I'm super excited they're bringing out a big evil boss again. When I think of MK Shao Kahn tops the list of. Notorious badasses. 10 more fight scenes is a great idea, glad they doubled up on those. But the best part you mentioned is a detailed telling of the mysterious history of the fabled Kingdom of Edenia.... Which seemed like a just and prosperous place before the fall the king and the princesses separate tragic fates. Been huge MK fan since the start please keep us posted!

I loved the first MK and hoped we'd get this sequel. Cole Young does need to take a backseat though. Maybe fans wouldn't hate him so much if they didn't try to put him on a pedestal. What I didn’t like about the first one- yall made it about a character that’s NOT in the game, scorpion pops up in the ending and that GET OVER HERE was weak, I feel like we’ll see Milenna again due to the statement that death is only the beginning or something he said lol can’t remember.
