What I recommend is to get the spy cameras which are available on iOS or android and have ur family or a liscenced “provider, inspector etc” to see if the patient is not being abused. In the USA if someone is not able to provide for themselves there are agencies who take care of ur finances.

2014, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Brain Disease. My father died in 2014. A cranial autopsy revealed frontal temporal dementia. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2015. My older brother and sister are having cognitive difficulties. January 2022, I went on Ketogenic diet, ate one 2k calorie meal per day (meat, fish, eggs, non-starch vegetables) over 4 hours, fasted 20 hours a day, walked 8 miles every other day. October 2022, lost 73 lbs, got off 7 medications I had been on for 20+ years and had best blood test results ever. Two years 9 months later, I still follow the same lifestyle. I’m doing so much better cognitively. Alzheimer’s/Dementia is now considered type 3 diabetes. Consider changing what you eat and your level of exercise as a potential defense against diseases.

Well done discovering and persevering. I have found a source of fresh cold pressed flaxseed oil with an excellent Omega 3 to 6 ratio. It is one of the best value oils I have found. Understanding the Western style diet, including Thai food, is very heavy on Omega 6 the principle is to balance it with increased Omega 3, which reduces inflammation, which as you clearly understand is the basis of much disease. I have been on the key search in diet for the last two years also. My own recent discoveries have help me enormously, with arthritis related pain and a variety of other conditions. I spend 1000 baht per month on 1 L of flaxseed oil and that's all the 'medication' I take. It's also delicious.

British families are sending elderly relatives with dementia overseas to Thailand in a small but growing trend. Researchers visiting private care homes in Chiang Mai have found eight homes where guests from the UK are living thousands of miles away from their families, because suitable care in their home country was impossible to find or afford. Thailand already has a long history of medical tourism and it’s now setting itself up as an international hub for dementia care. His getting well by giving the Thai lady helps for informing her about the waters & understanding adjustments are so great. He and she are getting well by following the ways she's going to follow his way as a thanks for taking care of him too.

May I ask-when a person can no longer handle his/her money, can one set up a TRUST. FUND (revocable first) with a major bank in Thailand (Thai or Foreign bank)? With time the burden of care will become heavier. Pen’s experience, skill, and compassion will allow her to MANAGE the care very efficiently. Pen should have part-time helpers who will learn from her and assist her. It will take a team to care for an elderly with cognitive issue, else Pen may be burned out, her health may be affected and the quality of her care may decline.

@@rungnapawitchayanaratip822 Sorry, but Vincent's not in a "care facility", which is what the question was about and what I was replying to. He can't get a retirement extension for 1,900 baht a year, even with your help, with less than an overseas income of 65k per month, which he doesn't have. (Edit: unless he has more than 800,000 sitting in the bank here instead) You can't have a "good diet" for only 50 baht per person per day however much cooking you do yourself, unless you have a farm and live off it. There seems to be some confusion over what Pen said about the costs for a carer, around the 9:00 to 10:30 point. She did NOT say that she was paid 15,000 a month as some seem to think. What she said was that carers cost from 15,000 a month for a part-time carer to 60,000 for a full time nurse, and that she's a full-time, live-in nurse so gets twice what a part-time carer does. She blurred this over slightly, and I'm not so sure about her nursing qualifications, but at a conservative guess she gets a minimum of 30,000 a month plus meals plus some expenses such as petrol. That matches what some 'carers' I know get who've either gone to Chiang Mai to work in nursing homes or who work privately, live-in, and with what a qualified nurse gets in a state hospital, for an 8 hour shift, at around 30,000 baht.
