I don't really get the constant Money Store comparison, yeah it's catchy and straight-forward and doesn't linger too much in the realm of experimentation, but whatever it doesn't sound like the Money Store what so ever, from the vibe to just the whole sound, I would have never thought to compare them. For me BP is more like, taking the recipe of the Money Store but instead filling it up with all the sounds they used post that album all together, you have many NLDW, GP and TPTB vibes here, but not really TMS.

Well that's kinda the point, they're like an auditory horror movie. When I first listened to Exmilitary I was also left perplexed. But that's also the exciting part, and once you get used to it you're rewarded with some of the catchiest and most creative songs. The constant meme-ery sadly kinda takes their over the top aggression out of context to make it humorous, it's like if you put circus music over some psychological horror movie, it would seem like a comedy. Which of course IS funny lots of time, but kinda diminishes the seriousness of their music for a lot of people.

I didnt like this album a few weeks ago. I got into death grips recently with the money store and for some reason Exmilitary and BP were not that interesting to me... Then I discovered n*ggas on the moon and Jenny Death It opened my ear to all the sounds I wasn't so fond of then I re listened to this right after Powers That B and I found it to be a god damn masterpiece moral is I will fuck you in half

i went back to Ring a Bell after finding that out and i kind of understand now. the track is sort of all over the place sound-wise, i don’t really like the trippy intro, and the guitars & synths are the best parts of the song. overall, it might be the weakest track, but that doesn’t make it a BAD song. it’s pretty dope!!

Honestly, this album is kind of Eh, for me it rings a bell of '80808's and Heartbreak' and how that project ended up giving bad people good ideas, ultimately creating a bottomless pit for the future of hip-hop. Listening to this new project felt like stepping on spikes and I would blame that on the hot head Death Grips have seemed to develop as a result of their popularity, which is only going to lead them to face the same fate Houdini or B.B King did. Overall the album is warping the typical Death Grips message from something exterior and focusing on an internal message, but they only managed to make trash.

Bottomless Pit was my favorite on here, along with Spikes. That song blew me away, it sounds so happy and not at all like I expected after seeing the lyrics, almost reminds me of Melt Banana. Definitely the best finisher of any DG record along with Hacker.

I might need to settle it with me some more, but to me some of the politics are the worst thing about the album. I personally just enjoy the sound of it, and i think both anohni and the producers did a good job with working together. That's enough for me imo, but then again like i said might need to sit with it some more.
