As a massive Jeff fan I’m both in disbelief and pure euphoria over it being the no. 1 pick. It was easily top 3 albums of the year imo but I kinda expected you to put it in the 40s or upper 30s at best so to see it get the recognition it deserves makes me so happy

I urge everybody here to listen to number 25 on this list: ‘Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?’ by McKinley Dixon. There is only one song on the album that is kind of iffy, but the rest of the tracks are all 10/10. The instrumentals are incredible, the flows are amazing, the messages are deep, important, and heartbreaking. It is genuinely a life-changing album, and I could not recommend it more.

jeff getting album of the year is so hype. I have to give a moment of appreciation for your ability to rank all of these different artists and genres of music against each other, it's very impressive. I had to make two seperate Top 10s (metal and not metal), cause I felt I couldn't fairly compare the albums. Anyway, as far as stuff we had in common, Caroline Polachek, Kristin Hayter, Liturgy, Mitski, and Lana Del Rey all really resonated with me this year. The first three were really high in my rankings.
