Just finished the examination of the two forces goibg into Hoover 2 (w/o courier interference). It was really good! Very thoughtful. Was kinda disappointed you didn't address the whole rifles & FISTS vs salvaged power armor beyond the Legion taking a lot of casualties taking out Oliver's guards.

Glad you liked the video! The reason I didn’t address the salvaged power armor factor you mentioned is because it’s a non factor. The Legion isn’t sending people in pea shooters and their bare hands. They are sending them in with guns utilizing .556 and .45-70 rounds which are both more than capable of piercing power armor plates. The real benefit of Olivers Guard is their defensive position and heavy weaponry. Against unending forces without resupply however, they will eventually run out of munitions and be overrun. That is all to mention that each casualty sustained from Oliver’s guard GREATLY weakens their advantageous defensive position.

I think there's an aspect that renders a portion of your reasoning invalid. Fortunately, it is a pretty small portion, and I do not believe it is a crucial portion either. That portion is Mr house. Although it is simple enough to state that the legion would very likely win in the event that The courier does not interfere, it is also true that mr house is in the business of buying agents. The courier initially is himself an extension of house's ambitions. House keeps his cards close to his chest, so he hires few people at a time. In the event he learns about benny, which is likely, benny likely meets his end regardless, and house still gets the bots. Even the frumentari fail to infiltrate house's inner circle.

I agree that House is viable player, however without his securitron army, hes pretty much a non-factor against the Legion. However, its still possible he finds someone to infiltrate the fort and activate them

Based on the series the NCR may not have won either. Which is a situation in which the Legion may still survive out east in a weakened state. If there is a New Vegas buffer protecting the Legion from further attacks from the NCR, They could collapse or they could have time to lick their wounds before going to expand a different direction. Really a coin toss
