The issue with most interpretations of this is that they miss that the strangers don't control reality as a whole, only the city's superstructure, this is evidenced by how they have to physically interact with the people but not the infrastruvture

i didnt realize that MR HAND WAS RIFF RAFF until watching this video. *mind blown*. so bloody obvious now! i portray Riff Raff at The Grand Opera House's (one of the oldest performance halls in the United States located in Macon, Georgia) yearly Halloween shadow-cast performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Dark City happens to be one of my favourite films...upon watching this video i am now inspired to switch costumes (after my performance) from Riff Raff to Mr. Hand and see if anyone notices the uber-meta-commentary (i.e. my shameless idolatry of the creative genius and talented actor that is Richard O'brien).

Because for both of them, more so the Matrix, this was a clear inspiration. If I remember correctly, the Wachowskies even referenced the chase over the roofs.

I couldn't watch it. I was bored within minutes. Plus Kiefer Sutherland's accent got on my nerves. And I don't like Jennifer Lawrence as an actress all that much. To me, she always looks the same, has the same facial expression.

More Alien Twin Interactions - Yay! btw, I saw this movie at the University cinema when it came out. I was blown away by the combination of film noir, 1940s/1950s vibe & dark nightmare aesthetics. And yes, looking back, it’s true it isn’t perfect, but it is still eminently watchable. Dark sci-fi fun.

I suggest you say "I'm not making a lame CGI comment anymore. Of course its outdated, like a Walkman. And in 15 years every Jurassic Park movie will look like a clown sketch."
