I was watching this with my Uncle (who is 84 yrs old) and when the inventor at the beginning of the film drinks the concoction and starts to disintegrate, out of nowhere, my Uncle pipes up and says, “He’s going through menopause!” My Uncle has similar wit and humour as yourself! Even during this video I kept forgetting it’s an Alien movie, so thanks for the reminders! I wonder what tech they packaged inside the rest of the android’s body when his head was still holding language, facial expressions, “speech” functions, sight, and memories. He’s basically a giant computer, so aside from structure (which may be an exoskeleton) and “nerves” to feel all that goop with, what else did they give him? Go Go Gadget tech?

Loved your review. I totally agree about the Space Jockey/Engineer comparison. This was the movie that was meant to answer the question many fans were asking ''Who/What is this creature? '' When originally filmed Scott used children instead of adults on that particular set to increase the apparent size of the Space Jockey. And now we learn it's a pokey, little (comparatively speaking) engineer in a mask? Sorry Mr. Scott, it won't do.

Prometheus is severely underrated. Sure, it has a couple silly moments, but overall it's a beautiful movie and a worthy entry to the franchise. (easily the third best in the series IMO)

My late mum and I watched this so many times, we loved the Alien films…when Guy Pearce turned up, mum, who had met him before, just said “ who desiccated him? If he farts, he’ll spontaneously exfoliate” The best memories. Thank you for this…the Midnight Oil line was perfect🤣🤣🤣

Funny story, back when the movie came out my sister and I went to watch it knowing nothing of it And we actually enjoyed it for the most part, and then the final scene comes out and we were like "this was an alien movie?" Once again one of those "it would've worked better as its own thing" cases

Nice response with the Tom Hardy comment. Oddly enough Noomi Rapace co starred with Tom Hary in a film called The Drop (2014) which is pretty good crime noir film which also starred the late James Gandolfini I recommend you watch it.

14:23, Shaw asked David "Where's my cross?" _Why_ would she expect David to have her cross? Also _why_ *did* he have it? When he took it off her, they were on the Prometheus, and he wasn't wearing his expedition suit, so wouldn't he have just put in a drawer or locker? It makes no sense that when he put on his suit to go out meet the 'Engineer' he decided to bring her cross with him.

3 bees? Quite generous. The only saving grace was some of the cinematography. There are videos about deleted scenes that filled in some gaps, but this movie had so many plot holes and idiot moments that caused me to lose all suspension of disbelief.
