I've loved music for well over 50 years and I've been a musician for over 40 years, but this band is absolutely extraordinary in everything they do musically including the lyrics!!!!!!!! and you both haven't heard a lot... thank you very much for the time you take with Jinjer and it would be nice if you would react to more from this band. maybe next a totally different JINJER mood: JINJER - Wallflower (Official Video) | Napalm Records lovely greetings from a german musician

That particular variation of a mosh pit at the end is called a "Wall of Death". Pretty self-explanatory😂 This was the studio audio along with footage from three different shows so the song has all the post production on it, and Tatiana does all her own harmonies and backing tracks. If you like behind the scenes videos for sure check out "Retrospection" from these guys.

This is the studio recording. Layered over video from three different shows (hence the three different outfits). Regardless of music genre it's common for the lead singer to do all the harmonies and layers because nobody's voice blends with theirs like theirs. That can be the case even if others in the band sing and do parts live. You can follow this song even through the changes using jazz eighth notes.

Great to see ya'll reacting to Jinjer again. They do Layer Tati's growl and clean vocals occasionally for studio recordings, but during live shows she typically just does the growls in those sections. As far as Tati as a front woman, she is second to none in my opinion, and the entire band performs with a level of energy that can't be put into words, and it is contagious for the audience. If/when you get to see them live, you'll get a first-hand understanding. The song is geared more towards not blindly listening/following authority figures in general, where school is just an example. For more Jinjer, I'd recommend Who is Gonna be the One live kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2fVp2innp1gbtU More Jinjer please and thank you! 🤘🍻

This is a studio recording so it has some layering. If you want to see what the live performance sounds like listen to "Teacher, Teacher" live in Melbourne. Jinjer shines in their live performances and you will see how close they sound to the studio recording. I recommend "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Record) for a follow up. Good reaction. I can really recommend you to visit this band live, because Tatjana and her boys are worth it! I saw this band by chance for the first time in 2013 and since then I've been a supporter of Jinjer and their interesting change from a little harder to harder but also more creative, especially when Vlad (drums) came along, Eugen (bass) got a mega technically strong musician at his side when composing! Take the chance now, because Jinjer has been on the US tour and summer festival for about 2-3 weeks now! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭🤗

Cracking reaction, glad you get to dive into Jinjer’s lyrics, they are very poetic and often have multiple meanings and as you touched on they often talk about subjects that are not often talked about openly. As for the pit, there is Mosh Etiquette - no marshal arts moves just shoving and pushing, if someone falls pick them up, it’s about an outlet of controlled aggression - if you overstep the mark you will know about it, we are all collectively pit enforcers!

If you look carefully, you can see the Mac computer behind Vlad, and that is where they control the layering that is added to Tati's vocals, plus there was a little done as well in post. But this is really the band in full flight, and you can see other live versions of Teacher Teacher that are just killer in intensity. I also recommend Who is Going to be the One for an even more powerful track.

Well, Vlad is the only of them with a musical education: He studied - the piano... actually there is a video of him playing Rachmaninov 😂 So he plays the drums like a classical composer, kind of jazzy. He only learnt drums when his former band`s drummer left them - an so he doesn`t care about "proper" drumming but does his Vlad thing! 🤣🤘

This was recorded over several shows in Europe and with this being the actual music video, it’s the studio recording, yes. There is engineering being done and layering vocals. And if you look closely, you can tell that they aren’t even the headliner. The bands playing after them are back lined, and that’s why they have their banners so close to the front of the stage. My old band did all of these things over our years together

Tatiana does 100% if the vocals. To make it work live requires tracks. Now that sounds simple enough, but... That means they all have to run a well programmed in-ear mix with a "click"(metronome) and stick to it like krazy glue! If they get off a tiny bit, in all of their intricate time signatures, time changes, polyrhythms, and wild style changes, it will go to 💩. I have seen them 2x, and they are impeccible! 💙💛

Loved the reaction! Cliff Burton, btw, but no worries. At the end of Anesthesia, pulling teeth, if you turn the sound way up, you can hear "f#cked up, one place". Can't tell I'm an old metalhead. I hope y'all stay with Jinjer, but going to toss a new band at ya, Sicksense. Nu Metal (rap and metalcore). Vicky is one of the metal goddesses that can walk both sides of the street like Tati. Whole different sound and vibe, but something you may love. That said, I'd love to see you do Jinjer, Ape (OMV). Rhythmically, it will break your brain. As a last note, good metal drummers, and jazz drummers, use the cymbals for keeping time. Metal, stay with the crash.

Hi guys, as hiphopers, you probably should take a look on the hardcore punk scene, which is IMO really close to hip-hop : lyrics are super important, often with social purposes, and with an emphasis on sincerity. And I heard in what you're commenting you love live performances : that's where hardcore punk is meant to be. If you want an exemple of that, with the crowd being a whole part of the concert, try to see the Modern Life Is War live show from October 13, 2013, on the amazing channel Hate5six. Just the first song of the set ("The Outsiders") will show you everything there is about sincerity and passion in hardcore. Oh, and as I've said, lyrics are so important, the whole crowd are singing it from the hell back of their lungs. Check them. I'm sure you'll find so much things you'll relate with.

Being about "institutional learning facilities" (to steal a term from Suicidal Tendencies) is the obvious interpretation, but the deeper interpretation, as I understand from interviews they've done, is about people, in general, who think it is their place to "instruct" others how be--Karens, if you will--no matter the environment ("I took a look around / The school was all imaginary"). And my #botd is just five words: "Teacher, teacher / Self-proclaimed preacher"
