Yeah its not easy at all... I don't think it has ever supposed to have been easy but there are some unique issues that there just wasn't back when I was growing up... Our 12 year old thinks he is 18, and they all loose their innocence way too young now a days. Kids are mean to each other just for fun and it doesn't stop at school, it goes straight to social media... I feel bad for kids growing up in this time, almost as bad as I feel for the parents raising them lol

He wrote his music as a way to deal with depression and alcoholism. It's his voice , singing in his back yard. Alot of singers are in a studio with people mixing and perfecting their sound. RadioWV recorded him singing a couple songs. After the first song gained popularity (that RadioWV recorded) he was offered a $8 million contact, he said no. By time a new artist pays for a producer , studio time, management, production etc he would have received very little. Plus his music would be censured. With the amount of downloads on iTunes he's rumored to be making 40k a day if not more. He recorded TikTok videos for years and nobody noticed, with around 100 followers. Now his career exploded. He has lived off the grid for years and in a camper with a tarp over the roof because it leaks. He worked in mills and factories.

A little background: He was a virtually unknown singer/songwriter, living back in the woods in a tarp-covered trailer, prior to dropping this video on youtube. First it struck a nerve in America and the next thing he knew it began to strike a nerve across the globe. He became an over-night viral phenomenon in less than 36 hours. And all with nothing but his resonator guitar and a microphone and some guy from a local radio station who volunteered to shoot the video right there on Oliver's property. Since then, he's turned down at least one record deal worth $8M. He's done it all independently, no label, no managers, no one telling him what he can or can't say in his lyrics. He was an atheist (or at least an agnostic) going through a rough time with alcohol and drugs and one day he realized he was literally wasting his life away. (Check out his music video, "I've Got to Get Sober") So he turned to "The Good Lord", as he puts it, and returned to his musical roots and then.... well, then all this happened! He'd been a factory worker for years and then got injured on the job and couldn't continue to do that kind of work. The last job he had was in the sales business. His primary goal now is to "bring people together" via his music. The media is trying to spin him as a Republican Conservative on the one hand and as a Leftist conspiracy monger on the other hand. Or some such crap. He's made a video explaining how he's neither a Republican or a Democrat. He's "down the middle" as he calls it. In one of his songs he comes right out and says he thinks the Republicans and the Democrats (the "rich men north of Richmond") are "all full of crap". That's a quote from one of his own videos. And he's just getting started!

My greatest line that usually gets hidden under the fudge rounds is young men putting themselves 6' in the ground. The suicide rate is sky high, i.e. the vets. (Sept. is suicide month). Binging a miner you will recognize the phase " the canary in the coal mine ". Oliver is that canary.. I know about coal mines b/c I live in SW Virginia. We hope you find what you are looking for. It took me a long time to find her and we both went through some rough relationships before we found each other but we would do it all over again knowing what the light was at the end of the tunnel. One thing we will both say is it didnt happen until we both decided to start worrying about loving ourselves and not trying to find love, once we did that and started working on being a better human we found each other in the oddest way, its like it was supposed to happen. Alright a little information on oliver anthony. First, that's not his actual name It is either his father or grandfather's name It's a nod towards his family roots I think his actual first name is chris 🤔... Anyways he is from farmville virginia and the video was produced on his land, Couple years back he bought a small plot of land and put a single wide trailer on it in hopes of starting a small cattle farm. He reported the song with a friend that works at a local radio station and they use their own equipment and released it themselves. He first performed this song at a local fair and when it received such a positive review his friend helped him record and edit the video released. I believe it's the name of the radio station that is posted at the very last second of the video as a way of showing thanks and acknowledgement for the work put in. He has not signed a contract with any record company. He turned down in eight million dollar record deal, Because as he said, he is not looking to get famous, he doesn't want all the media attention or to be used for that. He is just a guy that uses music to help combat. Mental illness and depression and sings his heart out for the who happen to find his videos. An amazing and simple artist 💕

Yeah we don't allow hate speech of any kind in our livestreams, and if we did allow something like that on our channel it would get shut down for breaking community guidelines... There is a BIG difference between allowing someone to speak their mind on their views/preferences etc. and spewing hate or just being plain hateful for no reason - which is what we will censor EVERY TIME WE SEE IT. KZbin censors all of our comments automatically for curse words, which we don't care about, all adults should be able to use whatever kind of language they choose, however colorful they choose, but like above if its something other than that it doesn't belong on a positive channel like ours.
