No doubt the time will come for that bottle of bourbon, Tim! I’m really very thankful that you started these channels and have focused them on making really high quality videos. Sometimes I find myself learning about car camping, or stories from your mom and yourself. Sometimes I’ve gotten tips on starting a channel or travel tips, or retirement budgeting, living more simply or the importance of planning but still being spontaneous. Let alone your other channel - camera tech, beautiful, interesting places you’ve discovered to shoot photos or video. I could go on. I think that as more of those one (or 10)-time viewers watch, they’ll subscribe. In my opinion they’d gain a lot by doing so. Congratulations on all of your successes so far!

It is interesting how the algorithm works. I was one of those who found you on your decluttering video in the beginning and I've enjoyed your channel. You have a nice variety and you are so down to earth and genuine. That's why I stick around. Crazy stats! Most of the channels I follow rarely pop up in my feed! I literally go to subscriptions and browse there for what I want to watch! Makes you wonder what the real value of subscribing is for the subscribers!

If you have lots of subscriptions, it also helps to go through and clear out any that you no longer have interest in or are not making content. I went from 3000 down to about 300 turning on bells as I went. And they didn't actually quit messing with the bells til I got down that far. After that, they notified most of the time outside of when Do Not Disturb was on, and by the time I got down to 100 they were notifying for everything outside of DND times. I've since turned off notifications on ones that don't do lives because my habit is to check my subscriptions daily because some release during DND hours anyway, so I don't need the distraction unless there is a chat to go to.

Ya' got me re-thinking! I was trying to tie my channel into my funny women greeting cards (that sell really well on Etsy) but there's a million of those tutorials... I gotta' figure out a way to do "me" and I think that would be more fab'log or blog! With no false modesty, I'm funny, did TV spots many years ago for a fashion co I worked for & am comfortable with camera ... SO I have to find my lane/ Voice! Maybe sharing the back story on cards? This was a great video. Thank you for being so honest about the income. I am nowhere near being monetized, but it’s nice to know that it’s possible. You were one of the first channels I started following just because you were interesting and because of your encouragement to start a channel and other videos that popped up like Rob and Kevin and old Mike, I jumped on board. I am certain you will be buying yourself that celebratory bourbon one day. I should plan my celebration item for the day I get monetized. It might be a couple years off, but it doesn’t hurt to plan.

Congratulations on the growth of your channel. I have been a subscriber since you launched your first video because I was newly retired and the decluttering video is what attracted me to it. To be honest, I have only watched 21 videos, the last one being about ten months ago. I am a 68 year old woman who was looking for some inspiration on how to be fashionably relevant at my age. I love fashion and always have, but watching these fashion influencers got me hooked and I ended up spending a lot of money. I have no regrets, but it is time for me to attempt a "no buy" year. I have never been in debt through this process and I have a lovely classic wardrobe now that I plan to keep and recreate outfits with. This video was interesting to me because I was so curious how KZbin content creators earn money since I invest a lot of time watching them. Many of these influencers rely on this as their sole income. You are a breath of fresh air and I am back!!! I will sift through your videos and watch those that peak interest to me. I will share some of the cooking ones with my husband because he is the chef in our household. Thank you, Tim. Sorry for the long text.

Interesting video, Tim! LIMD did very well! My channel made $4,615.21 in ad revenue. If you had asked me in 2018 of my KZbin channel would ever make any money at all I would have answered NO! I'm not really sure what my total affiliate income was. Probably around $1000. I need to do a better job with that part of being a KZbinr. I'm too busy making videos. I felt like I had been picked up by some giant and moved back to the starting line. Your minimalist videos appealed to me, mainly because in 2022 and 2023, I was forced into minimalism. Now I am doing very well, but the minimalist has stuck. We have one car, a house smaller than we had before and zero storage lockers. Keep it up! You are appreciated.
