Years of doctors not doing blood work and only reccomending pregnancy tests and ibuprofen for abdominal pain with no period. Love that I keep finding out things and symptoms about thyroids from KZbin COMMENTS rather than any doctor I've seen LOL. Sorry you had to go through all of that though, and hope everything is better now! While it had nothing to do with my thyroid, I went through six months of forcing my arm to move when it was practically immobile and in too much pain only for every doctor I met to tell me that I was faking it, and much too young for it to be anything that my parents were asking if it might have been (was still a minor at the time). The one thing my dad made sure to ask was "is it tendonitis" which is what got the "you're too young for that" response. Long and short, turns out that I damaged my arm while bowling, and my mother's General Practitioner suggested I actually *stop* using my arm (against what every doctor *I* had seen said) because it was likely *tendonitis. Y'know. That pretty common thing to get.* Healed it enough that I can use my arm, even if I'm in practical chronic pain now from the nerve damage that had been done and not allowed to heal properly. Not related specifically to women's health, obviously, but still a... *fun* experience.

My own father went to the ER 4 times, convinced he was having a heart attack before just accepting he couldn't manage his stress and what he was feeling was just a panic attack. So, more likely than not, whatever you're feeling is just your anxiety's way of manifesting itself. I hope you can find peace soon though

I don't even remember when I realized mortality was a thing, I just kind of always knew. No one told me, but I remember being a really really young child and being like "yeah, mom's gonna die soon" so I would stay up really late at night to watch her sleep and check her breathing in case she died. I didn't fear my own death until I got married and realized someone actually loved me and if I died it would hurt them. Before that I was pretty fond of the idea of dying but terrified of everyone else dying. I also believed from a very young age that I was killing people with my mind (although now we know that that was likely a combo of OCD and schizophrenia doing the thing)

At the age of 10 I got corneal deterioration. We went to the eye doctor several times, and each time, they told me I was lying. I could read, just everything had double vision. They saw me read most of the letters on the test and said I was lying for attention. I finally got my diagnosis at age 20, im 22 now. Even then, at 20, the first doctor I went to she accused me of not caring if I got help because I didnt want to try glasses (I already have, they dont work). I had to find a corneal specialist to actually help me. The shape of my eye is warped, which was what caused my double vision. What happened was that each doctors office I went to, they didn't have the machine that takes a map of the surface of your eye. 10 years of this bullshit
