Honestly, if a movie in a franchise was good enough it should be able to stand on its own as a good movie regardless of the amount of knowledge the viewer has going into it. The thing is Gambit has Cajun Accent. A very unique and tough accent having South American, Spanish, French & Russian mixed all together. This makes him supercool and Tatum killed it!! Something we didn't get in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine version. Also every single characters except TVA & happy, are all Fox's Marvel properties. Therefore, it's a final Marvel movie from Fox, released by Disney

So for my normies in case you were wondering ladypool’s voice is actually Blake Lively but she was not in the costume in fact it’s actually a very accomplished stuntwoman named Christiaan Helena Bettridge. Now cowboypool is voiced by Matthew McConaughey, headpool is voiced by Nathan Fillion and kidpool and babypool are Ryan Reynolds’s and Blake Lively’s daughters, so when you hear earlier in the movie about ladypool having a baby that’s a direct reference to the baby Blake Lively had.
