Hi, I have just finished modding my front brake backing plates with duct mounts so your vid has helped alot with how i am gonig to run the ducting (will be purchasing a set of you ducts soon).As to the rules - Cams 3E curcuit excel regs section 10.i.ii ...The front disc brake backing plates may be modified for the purpose of an attachment of a brake duct or removed in their entirety

Perfect! yeah i definitely want to make some modded backing plates, but since it's the god awful setup where you have to push the bearing out hte thought of doing that right now isn't appealing, next time i've got the brakes off though i'm going to look at properly modding them to get some decent airflow into the back of the internal veins. What length of hose did you need to get to do both sides? Usual great vid btw

I bought the hose in 1 metre lengths (1metre per side) and chopped about 20cm off both sides in the end :)

Thanks mate, and unfortunately not, it took me a long time to get it right, i sell the brake ducts to raise a bit of coin to pay for the car, but honestly all the money i've made off the ducts and gauge pods so far has just gone into equipment for filming these vids haha Once an STL file gets out, it's out there and there is no way of controlling it.

The only issue is that I'm from Malta and I don't know if I have import charges etc. Great series bdw I'm a big fan, I currently own 2 excels one of which has an scoupe gt turbo swap and you're inspiring me to do some more racing mods!

Do you circuit excel guys run street rubber or was that just your test thread? Just wondering why you didnt measure it up with ur slicks?

Hey mate, they were just the tyres that were on the car when i got it, the tyres for the circuit excels are a federal control tyre, not slicks but not bad, i just got mine today, will be in the next vid dropping tomorrow :)

@@TheNuggetProject nice one! Double check your clearances as the same sized tyres are not always the same size in different brands ;) For eg: the pirelli's vs mrf in gravel tyres measure up differently.
