I will soon be having my 3rd major surgery and as always a little nervous but the last time I remember there was this one Nurse who helped make me feel so comfortable and I never forgot that, after a few days went by I called the hospital and asked if there was any way to speak with them for just a quick minute and they let me I told her "Thank you" and she was so grateful to hear that because she was having a bad hectic day and just that small token helped make her day and it filled my heart that I could do that :) sorry so long but just wanted to share

Thank you for speaking on the importance of patient education! I'm in nursing school and observed many nurses not giving education even though the opportunity to, and the extra time was there. I don't want to judge because I know every one gets in thier routine but as a student I still have that mindset of doing everything a certain way and I hate seeing patients getting discharged without some knowledge they could use. (I have stepped in and helped with education when I could).

These vlogs are awesome because you’ll be able to look back on them and see how much you’ve grown. Props to you girl..😋 Just wait til you deliver a baby!! I think what they’re referring to is the CEN exam. She’s passed the NCLEX, who’s is what makes her a registered nurse, but there’s an optional Certified Emergency Nurse test she can take. A lot of units have some type of specialized cert they push for. I work on PICU, so they want our nurses to get their CCRN for critical care.
@kylaneskahi45126 жыл бұрын
OOHHH okay, I knew that she had passed her NCLEX. And as soon as she started to work in the ED, but I also noticed that she was still working on something. But I think that she was just working on her BSN then, not CEN.

I am in nursing school in Florida, and even within the state each school is different! Go to each schools website and look at the prerequisites required before applying for thier program, that will give you some guidance of what you need to do :)

@heythere72136 жыл бұрын
zullymar rios After you get your GED go to college and talk to an academic advisor/counselor. Counselor will have you take the accuplacer test on reading and math, place you in the classes you need, and answer your questions. It’s kinda hard for someone to tell you what you need to do because each college has completely different requirements. Generally you spend 2 years and college, take the nursing school entrance exam and spend 2-4 years in nursing school. It’s a journey for sure.

Dessie Difranks I'm an ED tech and all I can say is to not be afraid to ask questions! Obviously don't be annoying but if there are nurses or doctors willing to teach you, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! You'll learn soooo much more and it won't be so new when you get into school. Be a sponge. Don't be too scared, all of your tasks will be pretty basic and non-lifesaving besides CPR of course. Enjoy it :)

Great! It can be challenging and requires A LOT of reading, hard work, and dedication but I LOVE it! I used a lot of online sources to help me study (KZbin and even things posted on pinterest) but the biggest challenge for me was trying to read every chapter and understand everything. I had to find the best study method for me depending on what was being taught (and I still dont think I have my study method all together yet) but I was able to manage and come out with As and Bs. My best advice would be to ALWAYS ask questioins, go to your professor for help or a tutor, use a RELIABLE outside source, and also ask your classmates about their study methods (some people also learn well in study groups but that wasn't always the case for me). Anyway sorry for the blabbing but I hope this helps and I wish you the best!

A nurse is a powerfull person anytype, even if it means, they have the phone number to call a judge, they often litterly have a "judge on call" they call them now and do there nurse shit, theres cops police state and local, private and national the put they have stuff to, most the time its get the fuck out here..like if they wanted to work at a prison or jail, they would applied for it and got money raise, but otherwise fuck off type stuff (in the past) alright imagine having a 12 year old that is having a asthma attack, a lady that wants a baby who is having a surpise miscarrigage (ad just about to find out) bleeding from the vagina, then a kid with cicle cell type stuff and mom, all in the middle of that there is prisoner or a police bloodtest with somebody screaming at the top of there lungs, cussing the world turning all three cells or ambulance bays, hospital hospitaltality in a haunted house creating anxiety medicares int he past... type stuff
