All these comments about dancing to this at their weddings. It’s not a love song. It’s a heartbreak song. It’s as if you were dancing to this song, and it’s being sung by the guy in the back at the reception who’s in love with your wife.

People don't tend to actually listen to lyrics when listening to a song, somehow. Maybe they focus on the melody instead, idk.

How does Joe Dart get that upright bass tone??
@ebraheelgastem92625 жыл бұрын
He only uses the bridge pickup on this one and is slightly palm muting from time to time, maybe he also turned on the treble cut on his bass . I tried it this way and it sounds alright for me ! May that helps you !
@gabalexjams5 жыл бұрын
Ebraheel Gastem will try it out when I get the chance, thanks man!
@ebraheelgastem92625 жыл бұрын
@@gabalexjams No problem mate ! Just one thing it's the neck pickup that's used to get the most of the low frequencies not the bridge one my bad, anyway have fun !
@nialldurcan17625 жыл бұрын
Flatwound strings will definitely help you with the upright tone, although i'm not sure they were used in this song. Also I'm noticing Joe playing closer to the neck than usual, which will give the sound more body and less of his signature V U L F G R O W L. (I think. I'm really not qualified. Please take with healthy grain of salt.)
@vincentkoster62915 жыл бұрын
iirc he also uses ancient rotosound roundwounds, heavily resembling the tone of flatwound strings

This is the most gorgeous thing I've ever heard. I honestly believe that Heartbreak Hits is one of the most well written albums that I've ever listened to. You have a beautiful feel for Melody while keeping a good rhythmic drive to the song. The lyrics speak volumes to me. I hope to see you come to Australia at some point. Thankyou for your art and all the best with future projects :)

Love is a beautiful thing Hugging, kissing, laughing, holding hands Love is a beautiful thing Unless it's you loving another man And I can't stand to see you hugging Kissing, laughing, holding hands If it's not me you see how could That be a thing of beauty? Oh no Love is a beautiful thing Birds are singing songs down from the trees Love is a beautiful thing The breeze is blowing, rustling Autumn leaves But if those leaves are rustling Underneath somebody else's feet If it's not me you see then How could that be a thing of beauty? I find comfort in believing Over time I'll come to see someday How love could be that way Love is a beautiful thing Winter's rage has softened into spring Love is a beautiful thing And on your hand I see that there's a ring And I would understand if I had Put that ring upon your hand But it was not me, it seems How could that be a thing of beauty? Oh no How could that be a thing of beauty?
