Can we dig him up and get him back in the game? America needs him. Bad.

Loved that the ambiance was of nature & life and not some overdramatized music.

Best President we have ever had. No nasty sex scandals or sleazy politics.

all the sounds of urban sprawl and suburbia kind of ruin the visit to the gravesite

Best PC (police commissioner) we ever had. I would have loved to have been on the job when he was the PC.... NYPD Police Commsioner, Assistant Secretary of The Navy, commanding officer (after Col. Wood was promoted) of the 1st US Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (the "Rough Riders), Medal of Honor Recipient (for his charge up San Juan and Kettle hills), Governor of New York, President of The United States and Recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for brokering the peace treaty that ended the Russo-Japanese War.His Naval History of The War of 1812 is still studied at Annapolis today.. What an amazing man and an amazing American. I fear we will.never see his like again.... former NYPD officer, shield# 24981

I live near there. The road is only one of two that heads into Oyster Bay. For the most part, it’s very quiet there. There is a house as you walk in and white crosses , slave cemetery to the left and another home on the right . There are many more Roosevelt’s buried there and a memorial to his son Quentin who was killed in WW1.Within walking distance there is The T R Wildlife Sanctuary. And about two miles east of the Cemetery is Sagamore Hill TR’Home.
