I was watching an interview between B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling. They were both saying how one the highlights of writing for and being on the show was the incredible friendship with Steve Carrell. B.J. commented that Mindy in particular was extremely tight with Steve and remembered how sad she was about him leaving the show. She kind of choked up a bit and said that her only writing regret for the show was that she and Steve weren’t in more scenes together. Apparently all three, B.J. Mindy and Steve all pushed for it but ultimately it was up to Greg Daniels The BOSS boss. And for whatever reason, he didn’t want it. So they all stopped pushing the issue 🥲
