That can be said of almost all the characters in "The Office". They possess a remarkable lack of self awareness and poor social interaction skills. @iamqueenelizabeth60486 жыл бұрын
ASB I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with your appearance, but I was wondering what love is to you. You don’t have to brag about your appearance, no one really asked or cared. Also Pam was obviously in a bad relationship with Roy, and would confide in Jim. It’s obvious that Pam and Jim had true love, and of course it took a while. How can you just assume it was a toxic relationship? It’s obvious that the writers wrote their relationship to be long lasting and wonderful, so you can’t just state false facts. Seriously. How did you come to that conclusion? I hope you come to realize how you were *very, very, wrong* about their beautiful relationship.
@iamqueenelizabeth60486 жыл бұрын
ASB Oh so just because she isn’t “attractive” enough means that their love isn’t true? It was Jim’s choice to give everything up for her, because he *LOVES* her, not because she *FORCED* him. Get your facts straight, because this argument was already settled by the series. Also in the end of the series, Jim got his job at Athlead back because Pam felt like she owed him for quitting his job. Stop using useless, false, and *pathetic* arguments.

I love the whoever-whomever debate scene so much. It's rare that a script encapsulates every character's intelligence and wit this perfectly while the chemistry between the actors is also on point. You can clearly tell what kind of person these characters are just from as little as one line. Jim likes to stir shit, but he doesn't actively want to take part, Creed is rambling nonsense 24/7, Phyllis is a yes-man, etc. Brilliant work by both the writers and the actors.

I think that Ryan has one of the most notable character evolutions in the entire series. At the beginning, he was just a normal young guy, he didn't want to really get involved with the usual office shenanigans, he just wanted to do a good job, learn about business and leave as quickly as possible. But throughout the series certain factors, such as his relationship with kelly and working in New York City, changed his personality for the last few seasons of the show. He became an irresponsible, pretentious, resourceful guy who wanted to prove himself and rise above his fellow Dunder mifflin employees and do something great. He unfortunately failed at these dreams and ended up throwing his life away by running after a girl he couldn't make his mind up over, and then had a child that he eventually abandoned in order to, once again, throw away his responsibilities to be in an unhealthy relationship with Kelly. So yeah, he might be my favorite character, after Dwight, Kevin or creed

Hydqjuliilq 27 There's also a lot of good Ryan moments when he isn't a jerk and he's just a dorky hipster. His character is one of the best and I think he's way over hated.
@crusherven6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure that it's correct to say that "he became an irresponsible..." etc. I think it's more accurate to say he was always ambitious and somewhat selfish, and gaining power brought out the worst in him. He is an interesting character, though.
@DCJ134VIDS6 жыл бұрын
It’s funny to me because imo towards the end he was starting to become the next “Micheal Scott”. At first he disliked the way Micheal handled everyday life with such ridiculousness but Micheal was just the way he was cause of how he’d had always failed & Ryan ended up inevitably becoming the same way due to his own failings. A child. Ryan ended up becoming the one thing he despised from the very start of the series & that’s just hilarious to me.
