You are listening to the 1956 version. They rerecored it in 1969. You should listen to it as well. The vocals are killer!

Great information! I know a ton about music especially 50s 60s didn't know they rerecorded it. One of the most beautiful, incredible songs ever recorded.

Came here to say the same thing, and that the 69 version is much better, the lead singers voice is amazing!

@@Lfg117 have you heard two great doowop songs in my opinion by Lee Andrew's & the Hearts, LONG LONELY NIGHTS & TEARDROPS late 50s Also There's a Moon out Tonite ,from 59 by the Capris?

Hi, Ashley! Great choice! May i suggest you to try "I Touched A Dream", my favorite song by the mighty mighty Dells, which vocal leaders were the falsetto singer Johnny Carter and baritone singer Marvin Junior.. RIP to Chuck Barksdale, Marvin Junior and Johnny Carter.

I remember they played this on the five heartbeats movie it was based on them
@ladycharliestallworth228019 күн бұрын
It was based on several groups that Robert Townsend interviewed before he did the movie. He said it in an interview and The Dells also said the same thing in an interview. In the movie they all lived in NY , the Dells are from Harvey Illinois a suburb of Chicago and none of them are brothers or related like in the movie. One tidbit the Dells did say it was Jackie Wilson that was held over the balcony.
