The late great Teddy Pendergrass on lead vocals, the reason Harold Melvin was jealous! 😂

@carlitosortiz28707 ай бұрын
Jealous, on all their albums TP is pictured front & center plus the album would have the tittle : featuring Teddy Pendergrass.....Harold Melvin was the manager.
@ProfitPathTV-zf6je5 ай бұрын
@@carlitosortiz2870 Only ONE album ever said "Featuring Teddy Pendergrass." The last album Teddy did with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes (Wake Up Everybody) did NOT say that. Teddy ultimately left because of fights with Harold Melvin over credit...and MONEY. Leaving was the best thing for him, because he absolutely blew up when he went solo, and this group eventually fell off the face of the earth.
@carlitosortiz28705 ай бұрын
@@ProfitPathTV-zf6je Who's in the middle of all the album pictures, just cause TP made a business desicion that don't mean Harold Melvin was jealous, greedy yes but jealous?
@carlitosortiz28705 ай бұрын
@@ProfitPathTV-zf6je the reason TP was the lead singer was because Harold Melvin put him at lead singer...you're statement about jealousy makes no sense. TP didn't write the songs that made the Bluenotes famous.

Nice video. I liked your reaction. The person singling lead in this song was Teddy Pendergast. I highly suggest listening and /or reacting to more of their songs. They had some great songs. Also, Teddy eventually went solo and had some great songs of his own, including Close The Door, Turn Off The Lights, T.K.O. and many more. His looks, music, and voice drove the ladies crazy. This group and era of music influenced me greatly.

@thuizar Besides the already greedy wealthy who are destroying this world the average man doesn't glorify money nor seek dominance over anyone, feminist minded women do that. Intelligent men only seek to be the very best man they individually can be, not in competition with anyone but the man in the mirror & only desire women to respect that. With that said, men will be wise not to pedestalize women, none are worthy of being glorified, glorification belongs to God Almighty alone, not some mortal flawed woman, nor mortal man.

I've looked at a few of your reactions and you really get it about how people sang from the heart back then. Like what Dennis Edwards (Rip) of The Temptations once said, "back in those days we sung about love." You're absolutely right about how the men back then sang about getting their woman back no matter what it took. Some months ago I was watching a couple of young folks react to *_The Temptations Ain't Too Proud to Beg._* When lead singer David Ruffin sang the lines: "If I have sleep on your doorstep all night and day just to keep you from walking away. Let your friends laugh even this I can stand. I want to keep you anyway I can." They weren't having it. They were like 'What? 'Sleep on your doorstep all night long?' Ain't no way. It ain't happenin.' Figuratively they just didn't get it. It wasn't so much about sleeping on the doorstep literally. The singer was letting his woman know that he was wrong and no matter how foolish it looked trying to get her back he's willing to go through it. So these young fellas today, not all of them, but a lot of them have no concept of what it means to hold on to their ladies.
