The bride was portrayed by supermodel Stephanie Seymour (who was engaged but spilt with lead singer Axl Rose). She is one of the OG supermodels, a contemporary of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christie Brinkley, Iman, and others.

This is one of three in the "Del James Trilogy" (which is often misunderstood by fans), based on the short story "Without You" by Del James, who was a friend of the band. The story is only 11 pages long and you can Google a free PDF of it with ease. The three songs, in order are "Don't Cry", "November Rain" and "Estranged". The songs predate the story and have absolutely no relation to it in the lyrics and themes. However, it did form the loose basis of the videography. "Estranged" is the closest to the actual story, the rest are more "in the style of...", or tangential trains of thought inspired by the story, not a literal representation of it. The story is about a Rock Star, named "Mayne Mann" (Great Name for an 80s rock star, lol) who breaks up with his girlfriend Elizabeth, and spirals into depression, and his attempts to reconnect with her are quite ill-fated. I won't spoil it, again, it's 11 pages, and while not likely to ever win any awards, is very well written and a worthwhile 5 minute read. Again, the songs have noting to do with the story, but the videos kind of do, but are not literal excerpts from the story, so the videos are no substitute for actually reading it. More like songs that inspired an author to write a story that inspired music videos for those songs, and it all came full-circle, lol. You can also understand why the band loved the story so much, as most of them (Axl especially) went through super-model girlfriends faster than most people change their underwear, lol. Many of their songs, from the albums Use your Illusion 1 and 2 were about those tumultuous relationships. The story definitely paralleled some of their real life issues as rock stars. For reference, Axl dated: Erin Everly, Stephanie Seymour, Lana Del Rey, Sasha Volkova, Sheila Kennedy, Elle Macpherson, and Ellen Jabour, to name a few. You likely have heard of some of these women. Ms. Everly is the daughter of one of the Everly Brothers, and a model, Stephanie Seymore is a super-model, Lana Del Ray (The famed musician), etc. At any given point from about 1987 to 2007, if you got a Hollywood map of the stars, it might as well have been Axl's Dick-Pic, as that's where most of them could be located, lol.

Fun fact about Slash's guitar solo! It was actually filmed with a helicopter. The helicopter literally zoomed around him in all different directions. That's where the wind and dust come from. Slash had major anxiety that day because the helicopter got so close to him that he feared it was going to basically run him over and take him out. He said he thought it was his last day on Earth. Also, the guitar he is using in that scene is famous and belonged to Joe Perry, the guitarist for Aerosmith. Slash eventually gave it back to him. Slash is such a unique person and has a unique life that I highly recommend researching. Sorry for the autistic rant. Slash has been one of my special interests people since I was a toddler.
