I love her honesty and maturity in this interview. She has always been maturer than her siblings, when it comes down to business and how to handle success. She's an amazing entertainer, legend, Icon dancer and phenomenal black, powerful woman for sure.

Yes, a lot of the Jackson's are full of drama, mostly unnecessary. Janet was never really involved with scandals, drama and foolishness. Aside from the Superbowl incident (which was honestly blown outta proportion), that's about it.

This was favorite era of Janet 1993-2000 the janet/Velvet rope years. She was the most open. She got reserved again after she had her son. You even hear more confidence in her voice during this era.

She beat Michael’s record of 7 Top 10 singles from one album with Rhythm Nation 1814 - scored 7 Top 5 singles from that album, a feat that’s never been broken. Also set a number of records of her own - most successful debut tour, biggest $ record label contract, only artist to have 3 albums with 5 or more top 10 singles , record 18 consecutive 18 top 10 singles, first artist to be Grammy nominated in 5 different genres, and so many more, and yet still been so under-appreciated/recognised. She’s the Blueprint, and finally getting her flowers.
Control was not Janet's first album. How did he interview her and make this error?
@elmulatodonovan13032 жыл бұрын
Janet herself considers Control to be her first album because it was the FIRST ALBUM that lead her to superstardom.

Oh she was PISSED...and I don't blame her, because LaToya is 10 years older than Janet and for Janet to show that much more maturity and realize how the business is, with manipulating people to go against family etc., didn't register with her. It's like Janet is the oldest and maturest one of the siblings.

Yes she was. Aretha hit it big big in 68 and Janet was definitely born

@ISAIDWHATISAID.2 жыл бұрын
@@Jcrash71 Ok but what was your point of bringing that up ? She still had the same awards as her .
@Winnib74792 жыл бұрын
Janet surpassed Aretha Franklin in awards and accolades mainly because Janet crosses many genres of music - Pop, R&B, Rock ( BLACK CAT which was on the rock chart and she wrote both the lyrics and music ) as well as Dance charts . She is the only Black artist to have a number # 1 Album in each of the last 4 Decades which only includes Barbara Streisand, Bruce Springsteen, JANET JACKSON, and U2. Janet's Rhythm Nation Album was inducted into The National Recording Registry of Congress. There is much more but it would take forever.
