What is the easiest way to cut my hair for first time
@kevinp810810 күн бұрын
@ - first, invest in the right tools such as a good hair clipper with guards, hair scissors, combs/brushes, and a big hand mirror. Watch many KZbin videos about cutting your own hair, especially how to cut each section of your head. Start out slowly by using longer clipper guards to avoid cutting too much hair. Lastly, accept that at the beginning you will make mistakes and it’s ok because your hair will grow out. Each time you cut your own hair, you will learn from your mistakes and you will improve with each haircut. I’ve been cutting my own hair now since the Covid lockdown and my friends can’t believe how good my hair looks when I tell them I do it myself! Like with anything, you improve over time. You save so much money doing it yourself! I was also tired of good hair stylists here one day and gone the next. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I have been cutting my own hair since the covid malarky; but have gotten my wife to cut the back/neck area, with mixed results! I will show her this to try and keep her from buggering up the neck hair line, which she is sometimes apt to do( like yesterday)!

😬 it's very easily buggered up. but not impossible to recover from. I hope the video helps

WOW! Your videos have given me the courage to cut my own hair. I cut my hair for the first time 2 weeks ago because of your technique! You make it look so easy and you explain everything so well... I went down to a #3 because I was scared and I basically quit while I was ahead. It looked waaaay better than what I had before so I stopped at #3. This week ill try to go down to a #2... but your videos have helped me A LOT! I had my wife cut the back part on the neckline since its still hard for me to reach and maneuver, but this vid will help me im sure. Thank you so much for the help!

I've been giving myself a #3 all over for many years now and each time I try something different I end up bald lol. My old wahl has given up the ghost (just in time for Christmas) so getting some new clippers with lever and a trimmer. I watched all your videos now and feel ready to jump in, well start off by getting a nice neckline before attacking the sides. Thanks for the informative videos and I'll let you know if they work for me!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again these videos are top quality! I’ve been cutting my own hair for a year now and use your videos is a reference. I have a 1 , into a 1 1/2, and into a 2 on the back and sides which I have eventually mastered. However I just can’t seem to get a smooth neck line from the 1. I’ve tried using a 1/2 and no guard but just can’t do it.
@theoneminutebarber3 жыл бұрын
I would literally just touch the line at the bottom with the half. Don't run into it. It will soften the line. Also use a very small scooping motion, so touch the line so the blade has something to cut and at that point you need to be rotating the clipper away from the hair. Without going into the work you did with the 1. That might help
@macairoggonzaga20554 күн бұрын
You should use bigger guard down to smaller instead. I’ve been cutting my hair since 1990. Now a days it’s easier because of wireless/ cable less clippers

@@theoneminutebarber No problem, it's funny how there are countless beard neckline videos but only a handful on the back of the neck. Out of sight out of mind I guess. We have found some recent success on Amazon in Canada selling one or two a day, need to crack the beast that is the US market. Lots of great comments from people which is nice. You obviously don't need it but I would be happy to send one your way to try out. Just let me know.

if you tilt the blade up it will cut closer, but also you can pick away little bits of hair with the corners of the blade

Last try went completely wrong. I was going longer and higher and a straight deep line appeared on both sides. No idea how that is possible. Had to cut everything much shorter. 🤷🏻♂️ It is probably more easy to cut them off completely.
