I just finished UFO Deception Fr Spyridon and I really enjoyed the read. I think its a really good book for people who constantly are drawn or 'too curious' about aliens. It seems to me that people looking for a spiritual experience, are the ones who are bound to get attacked as Fr Seraphim Rose mentions this topic in Gods Revelation to the Human heart, in the 1980s when there was a large influence of psychedelic's going around.

Father, I have recently moved to the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad from the OCA. My new spiritual father is now taking my confession weekly and seems to truly understand what I'm struggling through. He also never stopped serving the liturgy during the plandemic and never enforced any lunacy policies. The Church Fathers warned us that Orthodox Christians would have to go many miles to find a good priest and spiritual father as we drew closer to the end times, and now I think I am experiencing this in real time. I have lost trust in the American system and any hope of having a comfortable life, but I have now found true hope in Jesus Christ our God.

@@revelation2-9 I think wearings masks in a Church is a problem and not something to be shrugged off as a mere health measure, but I don't think it's bad enough to be called a carnival. Perhaps it's be a portent for more carnivalesque mandates in the future. Definitely not a good precedent that the state can mandate us to wear *veils* on our face during our rituals considering we already use veils for different reasons and other religious practices use veils purposefully. Our intention won't matter much when it comes to the effect they will have as veils. In a way the state is interfering with the ritual practice. What's sad is some parishes put these mandates up not because of the state but by their own Volition. Lord have mercy on us all.

If I was still reveling in this lustful deprived mind. I would be abandoned. I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for the cross what a poignant example of humiliation and suffering that he has done for us. I got that from the message this morning. I am not abandoned because I know our father's rod and staff , they comfort me.

As a hymn of the Orthodox Church tells us, "yesterday I have been set on the cross with You Christ, today I am resurrected alongside You", in the original Greek text; "χθες συνεθαπτομην Σοι Χριστέ, συνεγείρομαι σήμερον αναστάντι Σοι". Well, long story short, it all started years ago at the university (of all places!), where my teacher suggested I write my thesis on the Scriptural Theology of the Greek Church Fathers. After a few years of work at the feet of Sts. Cyril of Jerusalem, Basil, and Chrysostom, I noticed I just couldn't think like a protestant anymore. The point is: the texts of the Fathers contain the truth!

I attended Liturgy at an Orthodox Church last Sunday for first time, very first time attending any Church infact, and must say I was abit lost. Upon entering I had no clue where to go, which door to go through etc, I was there for over 3 hours (are they always this long?) and was surprised that in over 3 whole hours not a single person approached me or said anything to me at all. I felt I was being stared at and did not belong, I am naturally introverted and was obviously anxious/intimidated with the aspect of attending service for first time. And can't say I am eager to return, at least there specifically. For record I am 22 and the only believer in my family.

It might help to contact the Priest before visiting again. You could explain that you are new and need a little guidance.

Which church did you go to? Was it a Russian church or a more ethnic one? Russian Orthodox are somewhat notorious for longer services. Divine Liturgy is usually between 1.5 to 2 hours long; Matins is a morning service performed right before Liturgy on Sundays, which can add another 30-60 minutes, if that’s when you show up. And there are many parishes with significant convert populations that are always super friendly to inquirers. I can speak for North America, at least. And like suggested above, try to reach out to the priest before coming to church! And make sure it’s an English-speaking parish if at all possible!

And don’t be discouraged if the first parish you visit isn’t all too great; it’s always recommended to check out all the parishes in your vicinity before settling into one or deciding to quit investigating Orthodoxy. Some parishes are more ethnic clubs than churches, other parishes are a little more “worldly” than they ought to be, but still other parishes (most of them) are fantastic and full of God-fearing, regular folks like ourselves. The Church is a hospital, so don’t ever be surprised or disappointed to find sick people wandering its rooms and hallways!

@@nuzzi6620 Appreciate the response. I live in the UK so the scene may be different here idk, but it was a Greek Orthodox Church. And I also did contact the priest, though only via email, before attending to ask when I would be welcome to come, what time is liturgy etc, and that I am seeking to learn more of the Orthodox faith. I definitely will not be quitting investigating lol. I am still on the fence between RC and EO though. The more debates I listen to and the more I read, the more I cannot make a decision... Was 3 years ago I embraced to truth of Christianity, and in all this time I have been outside of the Church, basically withering away, right where Satan wants me (losing the spiritual battle). I am at a point where I am burning with desire for a real Christian life and relationship with God, which of course is impossible outside of the Church.

We usually wait until coffee hour to greet new people as during Liturgy we are focused on worshiping God. 😊 If people start conversing usually the Priest or Bishop will ask people to be quiet. I concentrate on the service and singing, myself, and don't notice new people, or many others. If you need help make sure to be early before services and ask someone. May God bless you. ☦

This is why He handed us His holy mother at the foot of the cross to be our mother as well. We Roman Catholics hold dearly the many treasures and graces that have been bestowed on the Virgin Mary. We hold tight the holy rosary given as a spiritual weapon to use for more graces to combat the forces of evil. The life of Jesus is in each mystery and we meditate on them each day we pray the holy rosary. The adversary flees when we are protected and covered under her mantle of protection.

There is no sin without forgive ness, but to sin against the holy spirit will never be forgiven,for you go against, and resist him and his reproof till the end,then the consequences is there is no place for you with him, for he is holy spirit. In another meaning, if you dfile the gift of baptism you received , then you have no place with him for he is rightious God and holy. Logically, the milk is white, if something impure happen to fall into it, will it be drinkable. Of course not. Thus what will happen with someone petsists to go on his way of resistance.

Jesus had to be submerged into the waters to sanctify the waters for us to be baptized and be cleansed of original sin. It's the purity of Jesus that makes the waters pure enough for us to be cleansed and receive the graces attached to it.

Father Spyridon I was baptised in a C.E Church but have just recently come back to the teachings and being a man of nearly sixty years now with no confession being made I am in Great need of this ! But I am currently somewhat trapped in a Roman Catholic denomination and my heart does not feel to find communion and confession there ! Is any Chruch better than no church ! The key to intimacy with the father is obedience and there is NO other way! those that think that there is another way will have a difficult time on the day of Resurrection. Those who are not obedient to the father are already having a difficult time. Those who are misguided from the father are already having a difficult time. Why is Jesus going to be happy with people that just don't listen? Does Jesus want a rebellious people living among him? Does Jesus want people to not know who his father is? Does Jesus want to replace his father with Adam? Does Jesus want to replace the father with himself? When will you people understand the truth of the father? If Adam wants to replace the father does Adam ever expect the people to know the truth of the father? I am sick of falsehood I am sick of disobedience! I like what you have said and I like your knowledge of Jesus but you must understand Jesus did not take on human form because God the father was the first man. It is humans that have taken on God's form and that is why we go through this test. We are all in the image of God especially the Israelites the first man and woman before Adam and Eve. When Alexander conquered Egypt he was a descendant of Adam and he wanted to be seen as a god and he was told that he cannot be a god. I say unto you after all these years you can be counted as a god but you must keep the blood of God! When the Israelites ruled this whole world it was not lawful for Adam and Eve to be seen as gods. But now you have the chance to earn that title by staying true to the warnings of the father and doing what he says and keeping the mark of God which you already have! I love when I find people that are the descendants of Adam and Eve and they have not taken that vax! This is because they have kept the mark of God! I say unto you I love them the only thing they need now is to be born again. There are two forms of God which are the golden mean. On the left you have the devil Yaldabaoth. And on the right you have the father Yahawa. When you faced East you have the father that is good on the south and you have the part of the father that was expelled from his body and separated from his Adams on your left that is the devil. God is infinite in both ways and he can provide for both types of people. But if the people choose to stay under the authority of Yaldabaoth then they will find destruction at the end of the path. So Adam and Eve must be reborn! we have people that are running around telling the word of God but they don't even know who God is they don't even know that God was the first man not Adam. Because of the 400 year curse on the Israelites they have made up their own story. You must be reborn to Yahawa and leave Yaldabaoth! The devil has a nature that does not listen it will be hard to get rid of him but you must be firm and plant your feet in that firm ground. And you must have a rock and that rock is God the Father! The key principle of getting rid of the devil is by having obedience to God. Just like with your Earth parents when you make them angry they become like the devil. Disobedience to God and he gets angry. With the Israelites there was 66 trillion years of disobedience and then God got mad and he finally made Adam and Eve to replace the Israelites! Sad to say the side of God that made Adam and Eve was in middle-earth and he was the devil. taking a simple look at the book of Numbers you will find that God can transform through anger! This is the reason why the Bible says we must fear God fear his wrath fear his retribution which is being shown all across the world! It would be interesting to know by what church you were ordained because some of what you teach is not reflected in mainstream orthodox teachings. To read a few books and regurgitate them in your own fashion does not make you a priest. Challenge video inside your church and congregation.Doubt that you have either.

Don't rely on on any teacher other than Jesus. A personal faith in Jesus Christ and daily walk with him saves us not listening to church sermons. You cannot draw close to God without sacrifice.

@@LadyMaria following a particular sect without checking their doctrine against the standard of the word of god is also dangerous. When tempted by the devil, Jesus quoted the scripture and defeated him with his knowledge of the bible, the word of god. He did not say "wait Mr Satan let me ask the priest". Read Mathew 4:1-11 of the new testament. Psalm 32:9- god does not want us to follow something blindly but understand it completely but use our god given brain before doing it.
