I need to say THANK YOU Organic Chemistry Tutor yet again!!! You are absolutely BRILLIANT! I am so very grateful to you and ALL of your videos encompassing virtually all math and all science!! It is incredible!! I love following your channel and I always tell all my friends and fellow classmates at school to follow your channel! You literally have been teaching me everything I need to know throughout all my college courses. I love the way you present the material using a black background screen and variety of colours when writing. THAT literally helps save my eyes and creates a calming effect when learning new material. So different than being class. Also, your writing is legible! usually, my professors are a bit "impaired" that way, making it nearly impossible to understand or keep up. So again, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME!!

I don't know how many videos of yours I've watched today, but I am walking away with understanding. (not memorization) Your videos delved into these topics with greater depth than my previous attempts at studying. I have 2 weeks to retake a science test for a position I am pursuing and I am confident I will succeed the next go around. Great work.

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a solid video/lecture on How to Name Covalent Molecular Compounds in AP/General Chemistry. Naming Covalent Molecular Compounds is not difficult; however, the process of naming Molecular Compounds can be problematic. This is an error free video/lecture on KZbin TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

Are there any specific capitalization rules for naming? for ionic compounds, we were taught not to capitalize any letters unless they denote the charge of an element (eg: silver (III)...)
@Danstry2 жыл бұрын
you don’t capitalize anything, and the “III” in “Silver (III)” actually means 3 since it’s Roman numerals, so don’t consider that a number
the only question i have is in 9:08 why isn't it tetraphosphorus decaoxide because i dont understand why its decoxide?

Isn't NO2 nitrite?
@tmerkury28137 жыл бұрын
"NO" are two elements, Nitrogen and Oxygen. Since they're both non mental elements. you use Nitrogen Dioxide (2 oxygens). Nitrogen stays the same since its only one and it's the first element: N then O. if it was two "N2" then you'd write Dinitrogen.
When it’s with oxygen you will remove the “a” it will be pentoxide while with others it will be constants it will be with “a”
