@henriqueserra3233 Жыл бұрын
same, it has 2 single bonds together right?

I had your old aromatic videos along with your diels-alder reaction videos in a playlist I have been watching in preparation for orgo 2 this upcoming semester, and I noticed all four got deleted. Im glad to see you have replaced them, I hope everything was okay? Those videos were a bit longer so I hope I didn't miss anything? Do you plan to upload more on these subjects? If not that is completely fine, I just want to keep an eye out if you do! You helped me pass orgo 1 with a very high B, even though I found your channel after my first two exams. Fingers crossed for an A in orgo 2 since I know about your channel prior to any exams haha

@8:17 how can you say it's conjugated when there is no pi bond below 4?
@kaeya8395 ай бұрын
It is completely conjugated because each carbon is sp^2 hybridized --> draw the resonance structure for the compound you will realize that the carbon below 4 will obtain the pi bond until and you keep getting equivalent resonance structures that you will end up drawing a circle eventually.

Why is the molecule at 5:40 cyclic? I thought cyclic meant it had to be in a six membered ring form.

Every carbon in naphthalene has 3 groups attached to it so every carbon is sp2 hybridized.

Cause 2,6,10 are not odd. 3,5,7,9 are all not aromatic. 4,8,12 are anti.
