I don't know why I enjoy study with him more than anyone, respect for other teachers as well on KZbin but his style impresses me most, it's so simple as compared to others but so effective. I'm following him from past 10-11 months and found these lectures very helpful, I only search for his vids for organic chem. These lectures are best for me! I love his work so much🔥

Your class is the best.

Well, the last example is indeed a bit difficult because the speed determining step in a nucleophilic aromatic substitution is actually the formation of the meisenheimer complex, not the group leaving so i found this a bit confusing indeed.

On minute 4 to 4:15, i need clarity on the electronegativity. its like you confused the 2 atoms on their electronegativity. then to be precise which one is more reactive than the other between the 2 hetero rings??

because nitrogen forms three bonds when it is stable so, 2oxygens and one bond with carbon make the three bonds so it will not form no3, if it does then it will be no3+ because it is forming 4 bonds. I hope you understood. for a better explanation watch the first video in the organic chemistry playlist in this channel

I know this is 3 years late but its because the H2SO4 donates one of their H to the HNO3's OH group makes H2O which is a good leaving group. Leaving you with NO2. Search up Nitric acid, which is NO3, and you'll see its structure, it has an OH group. Hope this helped.

I'm sorry but you have a lot of videos I wish were more useful. I've been taking my organic chemistry course and i've used many other videos because you don't explain enough what's happening. I mean, this was a 30 minute video, but since the first 15 seconds I was already lost lol. I know I'm not as smart as others. You could try explaining this a bit more clearly, and also your drawing is sometimes hard to see what we are actually looking at, for example, sometimes it looks like your drawing a 4-membered ring instead of a 5-memebered ring. Just a few tips. thanks
