True story: I watched this and (pretty much) only this like 8 hours before I took the exam. I solved each of the problems with him and labeled each of the numbers for what topic they covered (example; number 20: buffers). I looked over them a few times, and more or less learned what to do with them (although I wasn't too diligent on them). I got an 80 on the exam, which was perfect for what I was going for, a B in the class, but if I had taken a bit more time just on these questions, I think I could've gotten an A on the exam, with some luck.

@@anonymouse109 It’s been a while so I don’t remember all of the topics covered on my final exam, but I do remember this video being really helpful. There were questions beyond the scope of this video, but you should still at least understand this video first because it covers so much fundamental concepts. As for the calculus 2 review, I just searched for his “Calculus 2 Final Exam Review,” and also his long video on the geometric series, p-series, ratio test, etc. I did buy membership to unlock the more detailed versions though, those came with more examples but the free videos were super helpful too. You should be fine if you can get those concepts down. Good luck with your exams!!

Hi Cody. With minimal studying except for watching this video one time through, I scored an 85%. JG does a great job of hitting 39 topics that appear like this on the exam. Although I did not study as well as I could have, I know that if I spent more time mastering this review video then I could have gotten an higher score. If you look up "acs local practice exam" you can find the exam that I took in December. Hope this helps.

Probably spent ~5 hours watching this video and taking notes prior to my final, and some things transferred over well. Unfortunately, a lot of what I remember learning throughout the semester from my professors, midterms, and even this video, were worded very differently on the ACS final. That being said, my score put me in the 90th percentile, which I was pretty happy with. Whether or not you see a lot of questions formatted similarly to the ones in this video, the way the Organic Chem Tutor explains various concepts is very helpful!

This is a great video and I appreciate this a lot going into my ACS exam. But I would like to add that on question #26 you have to use either the [base]/[conjugate acid] or [conjugate base]/[acid] not the [base]/[acid]. The right answer to the question if a pH of 3.17 not 8.61. You would want to find the conjugate base [F-] because there will be less work to be done since we are given the ka value for HA being 6.8*10^-4. DO this by understanding that the ions will dissociate to HF+F- HF2- Since the Acid is HF then the F- is its conjugate base. (there are too many Fs just kind of try to keep track) anyways Kw = Ka x Kb 1.0x10^-14 = 6.8x10^-4 x [F-] [F-] = 1.47x10^-11 M plug this found conjugate base in with the original acid pH = pKa + log([conjugate base]/[acid]) pH = -log(6.8*10^-4) + log(1.47*10^-11/0.755) pH = 3.17

Just took the acs exam this week and this video does a decent job at preparing you for the acs exam. The ACS exam had like 5 questions about heat of fusion questions and 2 questions about solids, got a 67%(before the curve) after watching this video and studying all the chapters. This is coming from a student who had a 96,96,100 on the three exams for the exams and refused to buy the acs book. So to anyone in the future that needs to do well on the acs exam, buy the book. I choose not to because I had wiggle room to mess up and still ace the class.

Hey! I wanted to ask you a question. Was there any " Intermolecular Forces and the Liquid State/ Chemical Mixtures: Solutions and Other Mixtures " on the exam? Since he doesnt talk about it on the videos.

Dinore Gashi I’d say as long as you know your Intermolecular forces, thermodynamics, equilibrium, and rate laws well you could easily make a B on it.

Your videos are supppppperrrr helpful. One thing I don't like is how the questions and answers would be either really high up in the video or really down low. The title and the pause button would cover the questions and answers. OTHER THAN THAT YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!!!!!

It’s almost 4 am-I have my Chem 2 final at 10;30 am tomorrow morning (I took tonight off to study but didn’t wake up until 7pm today so my digital studying is happening now). I’m writing this on my 5 minute study break from the video. Thank you so much for the guide.

Can I make captions for this over the summer? Let me know if that’s possible, because I sped it up so I can sleep tonight (and I can do Spanish captions, I’m fluent in that too!)
