There actually is a harder difficulty in Plus mode after you complete the game. You get a perk that increases your dmg and enemy’s dmg. Basic stormtroopers can 2 shot you and everything else one shots you. 😂

Souls combat is WAY easier than this. You can cancle your attacks into dodging or blocking/parry. In the Jedi games, you commit to the attack, which often times leads to getting hit.

I hate his grab with the explosive. It was just undodgable for me. But constantly fighting him at close range with double sided blade lessened his unavoidable attacks to the point I could finally take him down. I'm just glad he didn't kill me as many times as Trilla did. That drew me up a damn wall

​@@GreenFalcon926 Idk, I completed the entire Story in Grand Master in both games and Bode for me was much more complex, Trilla at least has openings whereas Bode will trick you into thinking his combo is done and then pulls out 2 more moves, cementing the idea that he will to be taken out with good Parries and good memory, Trilla was lightwork NGL. But, if I was to put it into a list from Easiest to Hardest Main Story Bosses; 9. Ninth Sister JS 8. Ninth Sister JFO 7. Malicos 6. Second Sister/Trilla 5. Dagan Gera 4. Inquisitor Cal 3. Darth Vader 2. Bode Akuna 1. Rayvis Mind you, this is factoring in ALL of their versions too, Final Phase Vader defo just about beats Inquisitor Cal. And goddamn Rayvis is a Menace 💀

I'm a little late but nah Rayvis is the toughest boss in the game on Jedi grandmaster. Vader attacks are slow and easy to parry, and he leaves himself open a lot! And I died probably about 20 times it took me like 40 minutes to beat him. Meanwhile with Rayvis I died about 70 times! And it took me two days plus several guides to beat him!

@@BigRedBird I had no problems with it personally. The things that got me the most were the charging unblockable (where he plants a bomb on you) and those force swipes he does. I think it took 5 tries or sum like that. Probably my favorite boss, he felt difficult but fair, with great variety in moveset. I died to Vader about 50-70 times. It took 2 hours. We had friends over that cheered me on and got weirdly invested. I had to pause to EAT. I'm almost ashamed. Still havent beaten Spawn of Ogdo. I refuse to change difficulty

It's pretty well established by this point that he loves and respects a good duel. He underestimated her and got serious. That's literally a character flaw that we saw with Anakin too. I will say I felt cheated that ALL my effort and time ended with her death. But I mean. It's Vader, and she did amazingly well

Only 6 stems?! This is what happens when you rush through what is otherwise an adventure game with skill trees, perks, and such to level up. Heck, I took my time and explored to the degree of facing Bode with at least two maxed out skill trees (Duel and cross guard), lengthy heath/force meter, and 12 stems (13 had I'd used the perk). But admittedly, Bode did catch me slipping and killed me, but I only died once. I actually didn't die against Rayvis or Dagan, as I found them easier then Bode. However, don't get me started on Vader. My god, was he a bitch to battle. lol

While the blocking in parrying typically is the better choice, the dodge mechaninc is nearly a red herring, and so is parrying in some instances. The problem this game has is that some hit combos (which can be aggressively long) are too fast for the inputs to even matter. If you let go of block in a combo you take the whole combos damage by being stun licked the entire time as well

The only problem i really had with this story was bode being the final boss. I liked the twist, it made sense and i really liked the idea of the isb going against vader and the inquisitors. He made it clear that everything he does is for his daughter, but he shouldnt have been the final boss imo. In fallen order you know who will be the final boss from the beginning, they built trilla up really well. Dagan or rayvis shouldve been the final boss, those were the ones they were building up. Bode just comes off as a lame final boss. Compare jedi survivor's final mission and fallen order's final mission, night and day

They should’ve made dagan a credible threat from the beginning, show up towards the end post bode betrayal and fight both you and the empire. Then you hunt down bode to tanalor, beat him. There's a reason why this game is not like god of war and it doesn't let you dodge when you want to - and it's that it's a block/parry style combat which actually suits the star wars theme better. Can you imagine watching a star wars movie and there's a duel scene and the characters just jump left and right instead of using their lightsabers to block and then attack? Its just suits the game theme better. However you CAN cancel an attack, but it's only possible with the dual lightsabers stance but still only to block, not dodge.

Dodging is a big part of the game, you can punish enemies so easily when you precision dodge, or fully dodge in the right direction. Phantom menace had dodges, you saw Obi Wan jump over and duck under mauls lightsaber.

I never seen someone blame anything & everything ELSE but his own skills this many times. PLENTY of people have been able to kill him & even one-attempt him. Stop comparing this game to God of War. You just have to learn what the bosses do, so you know what to expect on your next attempt, you're just pushing random buttons & hoping for the best. This game has an amazing parry, multiple dodging, & evading system that you just NEVER bother to try or learn. Stop blaming the game, you just need more training.

It took me two tries on Jedi Master and I died the first time since I was trying to see if you had to “Embrace the Darkness” or if you could resist it. In fairness I wouldn’t say I’m amazing at this game since I had maxed stims and most skill trees and still found the fight challenging. The boss fights in this game are definitely challenging but still rewarding. Just the way I like it!

well, the game IS "unfair" a lot of the red attacks track, you see it when you dodge out of the way of where the attack SHOULD hit but the enemy just kinda dashes into place to hit you anyway, the game wants you to "time the dodge" not "evade the enemy" like Bode's sticky bomb attack @1:30, did you see how far away he was and quickly he closed the gap.

The second stage of this fight was easier with cross guard. Once I figured that out I beat him on the first try on grandmaster

I really grew to love the crossguard. It's just a big glowing baseball bat of destruction and it absolutely shreds ass if you know how to use it

I'm so stuck on this level right now. I even went and got more stims and skill points for stuff. Part of it I think is that my controller I'm using is super old. I'm not sure the buttons aren't registering sometimes. But why is he harder than Darth Vader???
