oh my gosh! 3:24! I've had that stuck in my head for years trying to remember where I'd heard it- I was beginning to think I'd imagined it!

The fact that 'Don't' have never been official released makes me sad, the chord progression at 2:39 is just beautiful, as is your whole interpretation of it and all the other pieces here.

The frequency with which you come out with these pieces doesn't matter because every time, every single one of your arrangements is incredible. Keep up with the amazing work!

I love this arrangement it's genius the way you can just listen to the music and somehow get sheet music out of it.

Omg I'm so glad this channel and these videos still exist! I just found this video again, I used to be OBSESSED with this arrangement (and all your others too) when I was 13! I would play this video through my earphones and attempt to play one of the piano parts along with the recording. Your incredible transcriptions (and Murray Gold/Ben Foster's talent) had such an impact on my childhood, and even though this was 12 years ago, THANK YOU! And thank you for never deleting these videos or the sheet music on your website. I'm going to have a blast now that I'm older going through all the music again and attempting to play it!

Sorry - I very rarely log in using this account (the one this channel is tied to). 🙂 *I'm* so glad and grateful that these videos and the website are still useful. 😁 No promises, but who knows - something somewhat more comprehensive *might* finally show up on the channel during this "Modern Who 20th anniversary" year, fingers crossed.

6.48 onwards gives me goosebumps Murray Gold. Such a talented composer and such a breathtakingly gorgeous piece of music. Should be super proud of this👏👏👏

This is so beautifully done. I love all the River music, but Tell Me Who You Are is heartbreaking out of context and in context makes my hair stand on end - and given my hair is waist-length, that's a neat trick!

Exquisite! Formidable playing! All in all an absolutely marvellous suite and quite deserving of a huge amount of hits.

Thank you SO much for your beautiful arrangements! Listening to them here gives me chills, but having the sheets to play them makes the emotion that much more powerful. Thank you!

Two dislikes? What is wrong with the people? This is beautiful, the way you made Murray's genious compositions into this big thing is AMAZING

Brilliant, I could already play Tell Me Who You Are/A River of Tears but River's path should be an interesting one to try.

You are my hero. I can't even express how happy this (and the sheet music!!!) make me, ugh
@TheOtherKaneda12 жыл бұрын
Completely agree - also about the chord progression. Which, incidentally is one (of many) reason(s) why I might revisit this at one point. There was a glitch in the recording, which caused some notes overlapping - that in turn causes the chords to not ring out quite as they should. Only noticed it after I'd uploaded.

Just love this peice! Could you make a solo version of thus piece?
@meijing21143 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the end of “Don’t” was part of Murray Gold’s inspiration for the “Melody Pond”theme, there are some similarities. Great suite, thanks for letting us listen to your hard work!

I love what you did with A River of Tears. Murray Gold is great, but the soundtrack version ends at a point that feels incomplete.

(by "spliced" in this case I mean that some is playback from Sibelius, some is recorded - and those recordings are from different takes - some of the putting them together was done *after* they were no longer MIDI).

Great video!! Can you please make solo version of The Doctor's Final Journey?
@TheOtherKaneda12 жыл бұрын
As in the recording used here, probably not - for a few different reasons, one being that it's spliced. Exported straight from Sibelius, so you'd just get the (more) "stiff" playback of the note values as they are, maybe at some point. Don't have the time at the moment, though. :-(

OK, Murray Gold and Hanz Zimmer are two of my non-anime favorite composers. Love Doctor who and all the music goodness it contains.
@TheOtherKaneda12 жыл бұрын
I think I should reiterate my "rules" at some point. :-) Rule #2: I don't do requests. None whatsoever. And especially not single piano versions, because there's (generally) a reason these are written for two pianos (see website introduction for why). What will show up will show up, if I have the time - which I mostly don't. Sorry. :-)

I LOVE DOCTOR WHO!
@TheOtherKaneda12 жыл бұрын
Taking that quite literally, just for today (although it's an old improved favorite, rather than something entirely "new" - the website ought to indicate what's next). :-)

Isn't 3:24 - 3:50 from Midnight? At the end when the Doctor gets back to the Leisure Palace?
@TheOtherKaneda10 жыл бұрын
Yes, although that actually starts at 2:19. From the description above: "Don't": Most will remember this as the music at the ending of "Midnight". It was reused (and so, pre-heard) in "Silence in the Library" for the Doctor's conversations with River. It has reappeared in (among others) "The Eleventh Hour" and "The Almost People", but has never been released on soundtrack. Stephen Willis came up with this title, which I think is very apt for both its early uses."

Bit late to reply, but sure - so much as I can allow anything. As always, I didn't write the music, only transcribed it, so I can't really allow or disallow the use of it.

Beautiful, as a player of music myself, I would love to take the time to transpose your piece into Bb so I could play a quartet with some of my friends, and if I do so, would you allow me to upload our recording here? Just have to be sure.

Stop spamming. I don't do requests. And in particular, I don't do demands.

Could I use a few of your sheets for my channel? I am attempting to do videos of my own, and in some cases, whole episodes of Doctor Who. Credit will be given to you.

Bits of it (e.g. Don't), maybe at some point. All of it? Very unlikely.

Do you think it's possible to get these as a MIDI? So i can use them in Synthesia.
