Luke, you raise a very important point at 19:25; privacy. Of course you do not want to give your location away. If you did, imagine how many people would flock there, crawling through Lone Wolf Mountain. It would look like a Woodstock concert. Your adventures should be enjoyed the way you intended them to be enjoyed: on screen. That, or go out and make your own adventures. We hardly need more encouragement of that sort, as you do a great job of providing it. Thanks, Luke. Awesome video as always!

I used to throw newspapers as a young kid, back when that was a thing, and one time a great northern owl was sitting on top of a telephone pole. It was gigantic and awesome. I just stopped and looked at him for several minutes. It was way early, like 6 AM and there were no cellphones back then. So I just registered the photo in my mind. And 55 years later it's still as clear as crystal in my mind. One of the coolest life moments ever.

Yesterday, I did my first bike adventure for the season. That gave me a chance to try out my brand new iPhone 14. I took a few pictures of things that seem interesting. Who needs a Go Pro. The pictures seem of good quality. I gave up my car 10 years ago. My drivers license almost two years ago. I do not miss either one. I am trying to decide which I like best. Biking or Hiking. I restored three bicycles last Summer. The same principles used in RVing can be applied to cycling. I hope we do not have the fires we have had for the past years. I will always enjoy your videos.

The owl in my oak is enormous, once saw his wing span when I startled him on my patio table looking for food and I SWEAR it had to be 5 feet or better. His hoot is deep and very loud. His mate is also near by, they hoot to each other for hours.

Glad to see that you and Susie are home safe. Beautiful thunderstorm. Loved the Dogwood petals falling. I heard the 3 snorts! My first vehicle I owned was a 67 Dodge right hand drive mailtruck that I started turning into a camper but went into the service and those plans faded. Perhaps one day I will attempt it. While I am glad to see that you guys are back here in NC, I respect your privacy and you should never have to worry about people intruding on it. Stay off the radar and keep on posting videos for us. I will be in Uwharrie for a short truck tent camping trip with the kids and grandkids in a few weeks. I love the mountains of NC. Stay safe and God bless. ps, on the church bulletin this morning, with the topic of Mothers day, the preacher had printed Strength and Honor. Happy Mothers Day to Susie.

Japan is awesome. I've had the opportunity to travel there twice and it is amazing, especially if you can get outside of the big cities and explore towns and villages that tourists don't necessarily travel to. Had hoped to take my kids there before I turned 50, but we decided on an Iceland/England/Ireland trip before the pandemic, that and changes in our family have thus far prevented me from taking them. I've camped in the rain under a tarp for 2 weeks and the pitter pat of rain for days can almost drive you insane. All you do is sit and think. So, we had 2 cases of beer apiece on ice to make madness go away. Along with other party favors. It turned out to be more fun than first expected. Being outside, away from work and the irritations of modern life, it really recharges your battery. Some of my best thinking was done under a tarp in a long rainstorm.

I agree about the bird sounds. Animals are the first to 'announce' bad weather or even a predator nearby. Woods are noisy, you are fine. But when it gets dead quiet, pay attention to your surroundings, whether it's the sky or the area surrounding you.

@TheOutdoorGearReview In the video you reference 100 inches of rain fall per year & many of your shelter videos are based around rain. I live in the rain shadow of the Cascades in central Washington (State) we get 6 to 7 inches of precipitation per year. Rain fall and condensation is not something the really factors in to shelter selection for me. I'd love to see additional information on more products other than shelters. I have been a subscriber for several years and love the channel. It seems like it has become very shelter based. Also more lunch chats or fireside chats would be great. Best of wishes to you and Susie, hope you stay well and flourish regardless of content uploaded. Relax by a nice fire and don't push yourselves to make product content, just enjoy nature & bring us along for the adventure.

I've driven right hand drives overseas, so not a major deal. You definitely put the idea in my head to checkout locally used Japanese cars that make their way over to the states. With right hand drives you might find myself looking over the sheer edge of a cliff, but at least you know where the edge is at. Keep making um and I'll keep watching um Sir.

Very nice, although I'd probably have lowered the front edges of it to protect more against blowing rain. That NatureHike tent would have been perfect for me in late fall in northern Arizona. Temperature was supposed to be around 50 degrees at night, which would have been perfectly acceptable for this tent. But it, in fact, crashed to 39. So late fall and early spring, that tent will be perfect.
