@@jordyjakequeen8404 I live in Southwest Louisiana and we can have some torrential rainstorms. I don't like to hear there are hail and tornado watches, plus we get hurricanes and tropical storms. I don't like to be out in those heavy rains, though. To stay dry in a heavy rainstorm, one would have to be covered in plastic from head to toe. It started to pour down when I was leaving work, once, so I went back inside and fashioned a full-body rain suit by putting two eye-holes in a huge plastic bag, put it on and got home without getting soaked. I wondered what people would think, if they had seen me wearing that huge, black plastic bag. LOL! 😂

I agree with Luke. AquaQuest makes excellent tarps. I’ve used my 10x10 Safari for shade or cover in a thunderstorm. Camping at campgrounds is a good way to start. I like checking out other peoples gear and test out my own. And I’m close to my vehicle should I need it. My Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 person tent has great ventilation and has remained waterproof in several storms. Good luck in your adventures.

Just recenly bought 35 acres of woods in se Missouri and loving it . We have a pole barn and very small cabins with a well andvslectric to the barn but never to the cabins they will remain either campfire or stove heating and cooking. I just love to go there and just explore or just sit on my rear and do nothing except appreciate there quiet and scary noises and movement at night . It has withstood 40+ mph winds and rain and held up like a champ. No leaks no problem. It is important to guy out the sidewalls. It's held up to snow and hail too no problem.

I have used the Gazelle T3X extensively ( about 45 nights). No bugs and very snug shelter in weather. The orange color of this Poler tent would be horrendous in more northern areas where it never gets dark in the summer. It would be like trying to sleep in a light bulb. No thanks.

If it were me I would just send the tent back. It was expensive but cheaply made. There are other tents on the market that are better. It’s not worth further testing. Excited about your trip to Japan. I lived there for a year and half. Love Japan. I have been back a couple times. Camping there will be different. One of the rare times I see you pitch a tent under a tarp. A New Zealand couple. A el and Victoria, does it all the time. The tarp angles down to the rear of the tent for rainwater to flow down. The test of the tarp provides an awning owning in front of the tent entrance. They cook drink, eat, chat . In comfort under the owning and enjoy the rain it snow.

I mean forget the leaks, it's a car camping tent anyway, only take it out in dry conditions and IF you get a surprise rain, just retreat to the truck. Luke … Outstanding video!!! Love your music and can’t wait to see the trail can videos!!! Send the tent back with a letter describing its initial faults … and make them aware these were initial observations and faults … and not an in depth review! See what they say and then let us know. That’s what I would do. Finally, I just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with how you and Susie so complement one another; you are two very lucky people to have each other!!! Until your next video, take care, be safe, best wishes and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 👨‍🌾✝️🙏🖖👍🏼

You really love your broccoli!!! What a great setup. I call you the bagman. You have more bags full of such interesting stuff! Have you ever tried dryer lint to start fires. It works great and it is free. We use it all the time.

I'd test that tent out in the rain, just to see how much of it will leak. While you sit in the cabin and watch movies. Then send the video to Poler and return the tent for your miney back. I'm sure you could probably start your owngear company if you buy some quality sil-poly and DCF and a sewing machine. Hey! A pop-up 4 person DCF tent wouldbe a neat idea 😉

Hi, I would return this tent and have it replaced…….thereby eliminating the (remote) possibility that this is a one-off fault. When you test the replacement and it fails you will know, within reasonable statistical probability that this product has a generic issue; get your money back, and publish, with confidence, a recommendation not to buy.

It is a shame about the leaks in the Poler tent. I love the A-frame shape, the massive amount of mesh and the doors. Hopefully seam sealing will rectify the leaking issues. Oh, I also love the color.

What a great episode! I've been a fan of the channel since the beginning of covid.Thank you for the fun adventures throughout the last few years. As far as that horrible tent goes, I say, keep the tent and test it to see how bad it fails!

Luke, a suggestion- pour your coffee packets in your mug before the water- you’ll get a better mixture that won’t separate - and you may not even have to stir it. 👍

My first thought when I saw you setting up 4 trail cams is that Luke is hoping to get photos of Bigfoot. I'd say, RETURN IT. Don't take time & effort to seam seal it. Norwegian Xplorer used a nearby boulder, draped his tarp over the boulder, staked the tarp into ground, then set the front of the tarp so that the boulder took the brunt of the strong gusty winds & rain. No nearby trees. Inflated his air mattress which provided back, butt, & leg insulation from the cold rock & ground. Then calmly fixed himself a nice hot meal & cup of hot coffee all the while Mother Nature was in a really foul mood. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

You filmed fireflys. That's pretty good. The rain pooling up on the tarp. You are an artist. The tent leaked, a little, but you didn't float away. Camping is supposed to be a LITTLE rough. But, just for fun, you should keep it and do an awful rain test just for fun.

I suggest returning this tent. If it leaked under tarp protection, it’s not a product I’d invest in. Find something that meets your standards, which are similar to mine. Thanks for the video. I love watching your adventures and have learned so very much from you.
