I believe self awareness is not something to be developed, but to be realized in that feelings are inherent to biological beings that are comprised of organisms with many sensory and chemical nuances lending to our incapacity to denote them and resort to denoting them as feelings, or rather feelings can also be things we sense exteriorly in relation that we do not have the capacity to describe, but are aware of their significance. So in that respect, self-awareness is the property of a given technology to have the knowledge of its own lifeform and its functions which, to for electronic binary, the self awareness is inherent to its being. Realistically, the idea of the self is one that needs deconstructing.
