I really do like the different finishes on the two major red areas. It really sells that they're different materials.

I really like the new format. Also I am getting into painting busts so this whole series has been helpful

Good stuff as always. The format is good. Another element you might address in the next video is the layering issue. "Oils over plastic is nothing drastic; Acrylic on oil, the paint job will spoil" is what I got from housepainting long long ago.

Great video! I like that you separate the videos into topics. I also like that you list all the colors in the description.

I just love your videos and the way you present them. You wouldn't consider doing some videos on 15mm modern vehicles and infantry, would you? Thanks and keep it up!

really great job, i have just one question that rly surprised me seeing it. Why don't you thin down the red?? It looks so strange see painting with such a thick paint D: Again, amazing

Great video I'm actually going to try painting a bust for the first time. Do u have to varnish after u use the oils if ur going to use acrylics over the top?
@ThePaintingClinic6 жыл бұрын
If you are in a hurry, yes. Oils can sometimes take weeks to dry.

I'd love to see you paint reapers Ellen Stone. She's a cowgirl miniature.

Did you spray a protective coat prior to switching to the oil paints?
@ThePaintingClinic6 жыл бұрын
No. One is usually not needed when using oils like this.

Out of curiosity, Doc, Do you consider yourself an artist, or just "guy who paints things"? I ask because I work for an art museum, and have noticed that there's totally an aggro thing between artists and illustrators (Or anyone who works with a high degree of precision, really.).
@ThePaintingClinic6 жыл бұрын
I paint toys. If others want to use the term artist, fine, but I generally don't.

Longer videos are nicer. Description can always include time stamps.

No it's a game that came out like 10 years ago to grab onto the skirmish style game play rather then massive army. It was cool but I haven't played in a while. I hear it's gone down hill.
@TheRunesmythe5 жыл бұрын
@@ajcunn87 It depends on what you want from the game really; I don't play, but I know plenty of people who do and they still seem to be enjoying it. I know for a while more of the emphasis was on the "Hordes" expansion (and many people still refer for the game as "WarmaHordes") but all in all its still a decent game if you're looking for something that's more or less a skirmish level game with the possibility of fielding larger forces if you want.
