Even with the other video, I'm still out less than an OEM manifold. Start with the cheap stuff and work from there. Would have loved for the lever arm to have just needed the clamp but new manifold it is!

Tick is completely normal. Evap thing on the front of the manifold, can put your finger on it and feel it actuating with every tick. Nothing to worry about.

Man. I just replaced my intake manifold and had P2015/P2014 come up. I’m hoping the ECS piece can solve my issue because I really don’t want to have to replace the manifold again 🤣 Great videos thanks for the insight on this issue

The tick is the evap purge valve it’s pretty normal from what people say and cheap to fix.

I’m doing this job now and it’s driving me fucking nuts lmao I got so mad and I removed damn near every coolant hoses bc my hands are big and I couldn’t reach anything. I still have to get that support bracket on the backside and I was wondering how you managed to get it out man I’m so annoyed with this car and myself.

Not sure where your getting your info from but you can run the IE, HPA and SPA intake manifolds with the stock pcv system. IE requires you to buy an install kit and the parts are in the kit as for HPA and SPA its built into the manifold. The only 2 that don't allow it out of the box would be the cts and the ecs tuning manifold

The p2015 is not always the whole assembly. It's the arm of the flapper 99% of the time. ECS has a cure for that. They sell a bump stop cover for flapper which helps it open and close. 2.0T TSI Intake Manifold Lever Arm Fix Kit by ECS. Save you hundreds and always solves the problem.

You would need an ie or a custom tune if you went with the upgraded intake.

Yes, as a recommendation for a tune, ie has one for there manifold, but I strongly recommend getting a Cobb access port and getting a stratified tune

How's that URO manifold running 6 months in? Any estimate on the mileage you've put it through so far? I've been pretty curious how the different brands (URO, Bremmen, 1A Auto, etc) run vs OEM.

@@TheParkingLotMechanic if you get the IE manifold and plan on goin port injection they sell a manifold for port injection and all you gotta do is get the plugs from precision raceworks to block them off if you don’t wanna use them or you can get the one for port meth and you just put the little plugs in to block it off

I have a 2015 a3 with a p2006 and p2015 code. It’s a brand new manifold and a brand new runner sensor by the oil filter. I still have both codes after swapping that sensor. Anything you can think of?

Im curious as to why you didn't just delete the runner flaps altogether with a delete kit?

I looked into a kit but it seems they don't make one for the TSI so a performance manifold seems to be the only way to delete them. Unless you know of a kit I haven't found yet.

@TheParkingLotMechanic I found them on Ali express and a few of the VW performance shops here in Australia, $199 in Australia $70 from ali express eBay has them also about $120aud.

@TheParkingLotMechanic STR performance in Europe. Underground division in Portugal, stupid Australian shops. If you don't type it in correctly, how they have it can't be found. Aliexpress sells in singles or bulk. Australian shops vag garage and vag parts are the 2 Australian ones, surely they can source them. Those first two I mentioned have them in stock I looked this morning 👍

That bottom support bracket.Held me up for 2 hours trying to remove mine.. Needless to say I did not install that bracket back... 😂

I believe it's there to keep the manifold from vibrating too much or something

@westonstaufenberg7278 that's what the 8 bolts and nuts that hold the intake manifold on would do..lol.. and the throttle pipe is literally attached to the block that attached to the TB Over engineering imo.. Germans do alot of that lol

Longer studs/bolts that help keep the fuel rail mounted and aligned to the head. Each one has a 10mm nut that keeps the fuel rail pinned when installed.
