You have a wonderful attitude! I had both ovarian and uterine cancer. I had massive amounts of radiation. My body was so weak from my radiation treatments. I had surgery after radiation. I had a hysterectomy, and my surgeon removed the tumor that had enveloped my right ovary. I was very weak after my surgery. A few weeks after my surgery, I saw my Oncologist. She said, we need to schedule your chemotherapy treatments. I said let me do some research. I will let you know. After doing my research, I decided not to have any chemotherapy. This was in October of 2009. I survived and I am very healthy. IMost of the time, I eat healthy foods. It's important for our bodies to maintain an alkaline balance. When our bodies become acidic and stay acidic for a long time, we are very susceptible to developing cancer and other diseases. Sugar, Red meat and alcohol should be only be consumed in small quantities. These things make our body acidic. Try to eat organic foods as much as possible. For the past 50 years, fruits and vegetables have been heavily sprayed with pesticides. Try to eat organic fruits and vegetables, especially ones that have thin skins. Take care .. sending blessings to you 🙏

Shawn, you are amazing. Thank you for sharing your story. Cancer does not discriminate, this could happen to anyone. I hated the chemo port that ran from the vein in my neck into my left chest. It constantly pulled , felt like it was too tight. When I was ready to have surgery to remove tumor, lymph nodes, I told the surgeon you must take the chemo port out! I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. The treatment was long and took a toll on my body. I am sending you love, light and healing energy Shawn. Stay strong.

I had a chemo port installed in my chest for the duration of my chemo. I applied lidocaine cream 1/2 hour prior to each chemo treatment and therefore didn't have the pain of each needle puncture. Seems different than your port. I was diagnosed in March of 2022 and so far so good. I wish you good health moving forward.

Shawn,,, my wife had colon cancer at initial Dx, liver and lung involvement. Part of lung and 2/3 of liver removed (after ablation) . Large mass from colon removed , stoma was reversed . Multiple radiations and chemos . She never let cancer define here . Lived everyday to the fullest . She lived 9 and a half years . After 8 years , they resected malignant breast cancer as well . Finally went to herbrainNever complained . My warrior princess. Doctors were amazed at her resilience. Died at home with me in hospice 😊on her headstone says “ be brave”. Don’t give up or worry about stats 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

You got this. You can do it. You have a great outlook. My sister had this surgery 5 years ago. She has Appendiceal cancer. HIPEC is also known as MOAS. Mother of All Surgery’s. It’s a lot on the body but it worked for 5 years! It seems like you will do what the docs tell you to do so that you can heal. I advocated for my sister and told her you will get your @$$ out of hospital bed and move after the surgery. She did. ❤😊 Cancers back and she’s in treatment again. She has great support from her adult children and us sibs. Thank you for sharing. Cancer sucks! Praying for an amazing outcome for you!!!🙏🏼✝️

Will be praying for you. God is able and modern medicine is great too! I know my cousin was diag'd with colon cancer in the 80s had chemo and all that and it never came back and he lived til his late 80s-died a few yrs ago from heart failure basically in his sleep...he had never been sick after his surgery/chemo treatments were done-went on and lived his life with NO probs. I also had an aunt who had colon cancer in the early 2000s, she was not a spring chicken at all when found and had chemo etc. and hers never came back either-she had a stroke in 2017 and died a yr later from that. SO NEITHER one of them-their cancer did NOT come back. Think about ALLLLL of the positive stories you hear and REFUSE to listen to the negative ones! Both of them (separately) went on trips, cruises, just literally lived their lives and never looked back and never let their diagnosis get them down other than maybe when they were first told. My aunt that I mentioned was almost 92 when she died!! (from a stroke).

I would not call stage 4 colorectal cancer a “baby cancer.” I can understand your desire to stay positive but you are giving viewers an inaccurate portrayal of the seriousness and impact of Stage 4 colorectal cancer. I know of Stage 2 colorectal cancer patients who have passed away. Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the US. You’ve had positive outcomes and I wish you continued success. I’m a Stage 3C recto sigmoid colon cancer survivor. So I’ve had a bit of experience.

They need to come up with a better way to install a Port. It should not be painful at all. If they now have MRI's where you can stand up and not be enclosed while watching a movie, instead of being inserted in an enclosed tube. Many patients were refusing to do an MRI unless it was improved. I was one of them. Then, they can come up with a better Port and not so terribly hurtful to people if enough cancer patients complain. Cancer patients have enough pain.
