King baldwin is really the ideal image of what a leader should be. The level of discomfort he must have been in is really only matched by his humility, morality and intelligence. To meet your enemy on the field of battle and actually talk to them before engaging in combat to actually save lives is something that is absolutely lost on everyone today and thats what the problem is today, no one is capable of a rational discussion.

Since King Baldwin had Leporsy... and he was basically rotting away under those robes and mask... many smaller historians are now referring Baldwin as "The Undead King of Jerusalem". And he was a very wise young man, spoke from his heart and fought with strategy... his armor and weapons were as strong as his people... as was his WILL. His strength and power may have been odd, because he wanted peace... and to fight back the Muslims. Monks wore armor, and carried weapons. Children had to stay close to their parents, as even they were armed with weapons to defend themselves just in case of an invasion.
@Lukken3 ай бұрын
To answer the question posed at the end of the video. I believe Baldwin was used by God to bring about the fall of Jerusalem, but the way in which God did it, proved Baldwin to be a wise and strong ruler who indeed would've been, and was, capable of leading Jerusalem to greatness 🙏

The passage read about leprosy being a punishment from God actually has nothing to do with leprosy. That comes from Isaiah 53 which is a messianic prophecy. Verses 3-4 (which were read) speaks of how the messiah would take on the sins of his people, and the following verses up until the end of the chapter only highly emphasize that point, it was a messianic prophecy about Jesus, not leprosy.
