I've been on this planet for 65+ yrs, I never liked Bluegrass music, nor covers of great rock songs. But one day, just for the fun of it, I seen the Peterson's cover of a long ago Rock song, and much to my surprise I liked they way they covered it. I have been watching/listening to their covers of other songs since, and I also found I like their style of Bluegrass. They are a super good group!

Hey, late to reply. I had a major broken relationship lasting from my late 20's until my late 30's. I pretty much gave up on love after it ended, which is why this song so describes me. I was so fortunate to meet my future wife years later after that experience thinking that I was too broken to love again but who convinced me not to give up. Her love blessed me with a family with 3 wonderful daughters. I am nearly 70 now and thank the Lord every day for my wife who talked me down from those fences!

I was a teenager when the Eagles released this classic. Katie has captured the emotion of this song with her vocals and the family has added a purity of sound that only the Petersen’s produce. Emmett’s break is fantastic. The harmonies toward the end stirs and accentuates the climax of the songs narrative. Well done.

I started a catering business while in college and was hired to cook for the Eagles at the concert where they / Don Henley sang this song for the first time (Yes, it was a long time ago.). It was a once in a lifetime experience. You guys nailed it! Gave me goosebumps. Wow. Way to go! Not just the vocals but also your musicality -- your mastery of the instruments and the harmony was amazing. But you guys get the emotion! Your singing was pretty much as close to perfection as I ever want to get. That is the way it is with the Eagles. On the one hand it is just another song, right? On the other hand their music grabs your emotions by the throat, you move to the edge of your seat, it leads you into musical paradise, and it touches something very deep inside you did not even know was there -- there is a total experience --- lyrics, melody, rhythm, emotion, spirit, truth ..... life. Then as each song ends, it politely helps you get up off the floor, catch your breath, dust yourself off, and get ready for the next song. It is just a song, right?
