The best spot for that wine rack was where it was. You don't store wine in full sunlight beside a warm fireplace. Wine stores when kept in darkness and in a cool spot.

I used to be a switchboard operator for large companies, and I helped the telephone repair men. I watched what they did, took notes, and then I could change people's extension number and voicemails by added or deleting them.

The phone and directory will be another great addition to a small museum about the convent's history. The entrance fee could be a donation to help fund work on the convent and a tour of the chapel could be included.

When I was in France during April a few years ago I was thrilled to hear the sweet tones of the bird calls. I’m from Australia and we generally don’t have delicate bird sounds. (We do have awesome bird calls but they are very distinctive). I am loving the sounds of the birds when you are in the outdoors.

I love that wine cage and seeing it cleaned up and put in a prominent place in the kitchen. Billey Google the type of phones you have. The archives are held in an internal voice mailbox. Usually, it is tied to a mailbox number you dial into on the phones. See if you can pull a manual for the phone system. Or see if you can find out what telephone company serviced your phones. They can usually get into the phones and change all the extensions. As well as all voice mail boxes.

You can Dryce that Wine Holder thing...its called Dry Ice Blasting!....Will remove rust, dirt etc....w/o hurting the metal.

I think rather than waxing that wine rack I would put a couple clear coats on it to protect it. Wax will rub off with a little wear. To fill that thing up, you should have everyone visiting the convent bring a bottle of red wine or give the same offer to patreon folks to send in a bottle and get a shout out in a vid.

I love how you can make something not very interesting, such as a working internal phone system, much more interesting and FUN just by using your creative talented mind. It truly shows that less is more. Sean and Steve and Duncan are fantastic!! I think even I could tell you what all those cables were about they were so organized. Will we be seeing Rick anytime soon? you can brush on some rust converter and it will have a rustic black look to it without sandblasting. if you sandblast it, then spray it with zinc paint for protection, and paint it with whatever color you wish.

Just wait until the phone really does ring and you're there alone! No kidding, a once major hospital where I was receiving wound care, was closing over a couple years time and moving into a newly constructed hospital a few miles away. One floor above the wound care section was still a physical therapy floor in part of the wing. One unused patient room had a phone that used to ring on occasion. Except the phone was completely disconnected. This happened a few times and was verified by doctors and nurses. The hospital was known to be "haunted" and often a nun could be seen in what had been a surgical waiting room. One of the Administrators occasionally saw apparitions wandering the halls. The staff called them "the unconsoled ones." All true. Now I'm scaring myself! Thanks for that, Billie! 💗
