Very glad a cult did not buy this building. I have not found any “cult” that is good. Ryan is correct that they pray on Vulnerable people and end up taking most of their money and cutting them off from their family’s. Having a gym there for all of you is a wonderful idea.

Something I just love about the Convent. It could be student living, office space, art space, movie theater...so many things. Could really bring people together. Gym space, amazing!

I agree with Rick, when you're organized the job seems to ruin smoother and just better. People ask me what I did to make more money at my job and I told them that I started thinking about the job differently so I no longer work harder, I work smarter. My tools are always clean, oiled and put away after every job and I don't stress as much anymore if at all. Our business (among other businesses that do the same thing) is the only one on Google that has 5 star Google rating.

Love your comment that you want the convent ultimately to be for the community to enjoy. In my opinion the chapel which has been deconsecrated would make a beautiful wedding venue for all religious denominations. Lots of space for reception halls and both could be used for art , cultural events, meetings etc Some of the rooms could be let out as Airb&b or for students. The possibilities are endless. wee gardeners tip for hedge trimming, billy. always have the top narrower than the base. that stops the base from becoming woody a bare n you have a lushly-leafed hedge from the bottom up. whether a hedge trim is acutely pyramidal or only slightly in shape, the growth aspect still applies. hedges fatter on the top always deteriorate into bare, woody looking failures with leaf only on the top.

You could use parts of the convent for company events. Like trainings, product shows, or parties. People could stay in the rooms, much like in a hotel. But still different, more private. When the large kitchen is done you could even host cooking or baking courses! With that you wouldn't be in direct competition with local hotels, but rather add something to the community.

You could make part of it a “children‘s bad weather play room” like they have in England and Scotland, with slides and climbing frames and ball boxes for them to pay, fund tunnel object to crawl through etc. and in a part partitioned off for parents to have coffee and cake and watch the kids and also have kids have birthday parties. Employ a couple people with nursery experience to look after the children.
