I knew that Beretta shotguns were expensive, I think that I'll stick with the Mossbergs

Mine is the Mossburg 930 JM Pro. At 22” it holds 9 in the tube. Semi auto fire power that never lets you down.

Remington 870. Also have their Remington VersaMax Tactical 12 gauge. Fast, reliable, and deadly.

28 inch barrel is not perfect for home defense. Stoeger is too long.

I have owned and used numerous autoloading shotguns over the years, Berrettas and one Remington. One real favorite is the Beretta 1200 I have owned since the early to mid 90's - don't recall the exact date - but it is my go-to bird hunting gun. In all those years, I have never experienced a single malfunction with it. Actually, same can be said for all the other autos I've owned. I have had few, but some, problems with pumps. Bolts are too slow, and doubles are rather limited in capacity for defensive use. Why on earth anyone would choose a pump over an auto loading shotgun for defensive use is a mystery to me, unless it is just a matter of finances. That is something I understand all too well, but I have never seen a single example of a pump being more reliable. And I know which one gets on target for round 2, 3, 4 etc.... That Keltec abomination is absolutely ridiculous, but I suppose it has great appeal for the "TACTICOOL" set. You know, the ones who can't speak with out saying the word tactical, and who envision themselves as GI Captain America Joe, saving the free world single handedly. They wear "tactical" boots, "tactical" pants, drink only "tactical coffee" and so on. Those guys probably dropped a deuce in their tactical britches @9:00 when they saw that 590 with a bayonet. BTW: I got my first shotgun when I was 13. I have hunted with shotguns of all varieties since then, as well as shooting trap and shooting sporting clays before the name was created. It was a new game called walk-up shooting. Yes, I have been a shotgunner for some 57 years now, so I know a little about the topis.

Its interesting. You dont feature a shotgun versatile for female, or children. "Dad"isnt always home. Especially if they are traveling for work. 410 or 20 ga. Is best for home defense.

The first shotgun I ever fired was a 16 gauge single with high brass loads. I was 13 years of age, and I fell in love with shotguns immediately. Over 57 years later, I still loves shooting shotguns. My daughter (a rather petite little lady at the time) used a 410 some, but was using my 12 gauge Beretta just prior to her 14th b'day.A few months later she had her first 12 gauge trap gun of her own. Teach them to use it, and they can master any common gauge shotgun. Not to say that smaller ones don't work fine, but young and/or female shooters can do fine with any.
