Cap, you went right by the Acme on Passyunk, site of the old Moyamensing Prison, where America's first serial killer, H.H. Holmes, was executed. That would have made for a fun historical fact ..

Al Capone spent a few nights in Moyamensing Prison after being arrested while in Philadelphia. I grew up on Dickinson Street and the prison building was still there when I was a boy. It was an impressive structure. It was demolished in 1968.

A lot of people don’t realize Richard Nixon was a Quaker, who tend to be liberal minded about lots of things. Also, this fact lends credence to your story about Nixon’s ancestor being Sheriff of Philadelphia because the City was founded by Quakers. Interesting side note: I was stationed in Washington DC when Nixon resigned the Presidency.
