Waking up on Saturday mornings and there being a new Pickle Jar video is similar to the feeling I had when I woke up to Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid. Yes it’s the weekend, perfect start to the day! I need to dive in to the whole 3D printing thing at some point ... metaphorically speaking of course.

That is honestly the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about my channel. I absolutely love it!!

Love how the colors pop, especially on the two larger ones. The gold effect is interesting. Great work!

Cheers Karl, really happy with these colours, should look even better on big multi bases

I have recently purchased my first resin 3d printer and have started going through the one page rules line. Really nice well supported minis .

One Page Rules have some crazy details and honestly, the 3D previews don't do them justice until you have printed them out. And those supports just peel away so easily.
@ThePickleJar3 жыл бұрын
The supports were the biggest thing for me. Soooooooo nice!

Thank you for the video. For a speed paint they look amazing! If you have the time can you list the colors you used for each? Any washes or highlight colors for the skin/scales?
@ThePickleJar2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. I used the following paints on the models: Warp Lightning contrast, highlighted with Moot Green Aethermatic Blue contrast, highlighted with Ulthuan Grey, Talassar Blue contrast, highlighted with Ice Blue For all the bone bits, I used skeleton Horde contrast paint over wraithbone.

I'm really enjoying painting my One Page Rules Geckos. Next is my Anklosaur but I'm not sure how to go about it without an airbrush. Look forward to seeing more!
@ThePickleJar3 жыл бұрын
Easiest way to get even coats on large surfaces without an airbrush is a couple of layers of soft dry brushing. Use some soft makeup brushes or the soft army painted ones, and do 2 or 3 layers. Is a little slower than airbrush but gets you a lovely smooth coat. It’ll look messy before it looks good though, :D

OPR is the way to go :-) Super pro customer, simple and easy rules no need to be over complex for the sake of it, gameplay is still very tactical plus they make it super easy for people to get into :) I announced one their forum I am writing up some fan lore for the armies I want to be using as well as some backstory, planet story and of its two waring factions. I had alot of stuff done up and was to be posting it this weekend but sadly my laptops hard drive got corrupted! (irony) and lost everything... I was doing in on my lunch breaks. Gggrrrrr but anyway I am a MASSIVE fan of OPR :)

I own the majority of Lizardmen 3d print files that are around but I've yet to paint any. This video will come in handy for my Lizzies! Liked the vid and subscribed ;)

One Page Rules has some of the best pre-supports in the business. A lot of other patreons could take notes. (Looking squarely at Artisan Guild)

They really are, I was so surprised. Got some more OPR content coming up soon, cannot wait!

Awesome work what settings did you use on printer and did you change scale to match the gamesworkshop sizes if so what size if you can remember 😀
@ThePickleJar2 жыл бұрын
I printed these as they were, didn't mess with the scale at all. I can't remember what settings I used though as I've changed printer once and resin 4 times since then so my settings are different now.

I did laugh when you had to point out that dipping toes/diving into resin is bad for you. We all know that someone somewhere would have taken that literally! 🤣😄

How did u do the stomach on the green one?
@ThePickleJar Жыл бұрын
Once the green contrast paint was on I just added some thinned down cream to the stomach, gradually building it up so it blended from the green to pure cream.
