Scouts NZ in 2018 worked with Ireland, Australia and Canada making changes to the Scout programme. NZ Incorporated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into their programme, but Ireland, Australia and Canada did not. The organisation became very PC some years ago and has got rid of numerous older members who did not fit their agenda. The control is in the hands of a few at the top of what is a corporatised private organisation. At the Group level people have no say.

As somebody that spent years in Keas, Cubs and Scouts this is not a shock. This was the first group for Boys and young Men that was torn down and rebuilt in the name inclusion.

@stevehughes1510 mabye not the first, but the first that affected my generation of men in my opinion. Boy scouts as it was originally called, remember that? In the 90s the push was for it not to be for boys only, so as time gone it's been watered down for participation of everybody rather than the intended purpose of building good young men that contribute society. I could really go on for ages, but cut a long story short society is now looking for good men, when we have no institutions to help build them up.

Yes absolutely. My son didn’t want to participate anymore after all the male scout leaders left and were replaced with female scout leaders, and had a large percentage of girls join. It went from knot tying and boys oriented activities to dress up in your favourite outfit from your favourite country and baking. As a solo parent trying to have good role models around my son at an impressionable age it was maddening. It was worse when he had to leave boxing for the same reasons just a few months down the track from that.

Sue the scout association. Also see if you can have a lawyer at your events, so when the cops claim they can shut you down, because......, the lawyer can counter their bull shite with legal facts. Maybe a reverce tacit can be used against the protestors. Find out if they are involved in a wedding or a funeral, and start a protest (sorry, a citizen who is concerned.....) there. For me as a kid Scouts was about learning life skills at an age of adventure, knots have stood me in good stead i use everyday, i enjoy survival in the outdoors and the wonders of nature, we played games of skill and balance developing self esteem and self confidence, learning many fun and usefull skills such as map reading, first aid, community service, firearms target shooting, physical education, fitness, gymnastics, athletics, building and a raft of projects and team events, road trips, camps, educational excursions, pride in a uniform and how to dress cleanly and tidily, personal hygiene, communication, respect for elderly, bicycle maintenance and riding skills, etc. etc. it began falling apart when woke Bull Schidt vilified every male leader because of one bad egg and females demanding equality invaded our urinals and private spaces distracting attention from earning badges as hormones started kicking in. Shame on the activists and Doolittle Police to stop the activists disturbing the peace. It seems police urinals have been invaded too and manned by pussies ignorant of the law.
